Welcome to Pokémon RMN Version Create-a-Pokémon Project! In this collaborative event, we, as a community, design our own roster of Pokémon to be featured in our very own, community-themed fan-game: Pokémon RMN Version!

The idea is that we, the RMN userbase, create and submit concept art for a fictional “Pokémon” (or “fakemon” as other people call it), and give out statistical information about the creation, so that by the time the event ends, every submission will be ready to implement into the game’s project!

There are no barriers to entry. Even if you aren’t the best artist, or Pokémon isn’t totally your thing, I highly encourage you to join in on a fun, creative event!

The engine that will be used to create this game is RPG Maker XP, with the Pokémon Essentials starter kit to make this project really feel like the games you played on the handhelds!

You are a spry, ambitious teenager who recently received your official Pokémon Trainer’s License, as well the son (or daughter) of Stathios, one of the most accomplished trainers in the world. Your father was offered the position of as Gym Leader in Misao City, one of the major landmarks of the exotic Ahremin region.

The Ahremin region consists of a series of islands located far away from other regions in the Pokémon World. Thus, the region’s most notable feature is that it is filled with many species of strange and unique Pokémon not found in the rest of the world, and to accommodate to your father’s new job, you and your family are moving in!

With a new roof over your head and a new air to breath, you are eager to take your first steps into becoming a Pokemon Master in honor of your father and mentor, Stathios. How will you make your mark on this strange new world? Do you have what it takes to become the Ahremin region’s champion?

  • (UPDATE: as of 12/7/2013): The Final List has been completed. Thank you for your participation!

  • Please submit your entry in a .ZIP folder, including a text file of everything listed in the submission form below, plus an image and/or sprite of your Pokémon. Color images are preferred. If you want to submit a sprite to be directly inputted into the game, please make sure the image size 160 x 160. Another thing to factor is that the game's default graphics has it's graphics blown up two times, so when making a sprite, work in a 80 x 80 field, then enlarge the image. The game will be in Ruby/Sapphire style, so try to make your sprites match. Please include both a front-view and a back-view sprite (just like in the games). Also note that submitting an in-game sprite is completely optional, as I (Ratty524) will primarily handle their creation.

  • The central idea of this event is to create our OWN region of Pokémon. Thus, I am not allowing submissions that are Evolutions or pre-evolutions of official Pokémon from the current games. Similarly, I prefer that the Pokémon you submit be for this project and this project alone, unless you have an old concept from an abandoned game.

  • While we ARE creating our own fan-made Pokémon, we ARE NOT creating new moves/mechanics/abilities/etc. The reason for this is because for every non-canon data you submit with your design, I have to make it work with Pokémon Essentials. While a powerful script engine that replicates Pokémon’s system very well, Pokémon Essentials has MANY limitations. Not all moves used in the official games work properly in this script engine, for instance. Because the work involved is extremely tedious and not guaranteed to work, we are sticking to what is already available. Only exception to this rule is that I'm allowing you to put ONE "unique" move on a pokemon, but you must describe that move in your submission form. Keep in mind, I can see abuse of this when I see it, so don't put a signature move on every single one of your submissions. See the reference section for a list of all moves that are available in Essentials, plus new moves created for this event to accommodate the newly introduced Fairy type.

  • I am going for 150 Pokémon total, including evolutions and the special slots described below. No more than that. 150 is the standard for most of the games, and defining Pokémon through the Essentials engine is a hefty task on its own, so after the 150 mark is reached, no more submissions will be accepted.

  • Pokémon submissions may be rejected based the current distribution of Pokemon types and evolutions. That is, if the submission list seems to lacking in particular types (like not enough Electrics or Fairies, for instance) I may ask you to change your submission's type or try something else altogether.

  • Lastly, only quality submissions will be accepted into the final game. By “quality” I mean they follow the Submission Form below, your Pokémon design is interesting and can fit with the world, and your concept as a whole is well-balanced and reasonable. Again, you DON’T have to be a good artist for this event! All you need is a good idea, and if there are any problems, I will be continuously providing feedback on how to improve your submission.

Fields marked with an (*) are required. The rest are optional.
(*)Name: (Only requirement is that the name must not be bigger than 10 characters, as that’s the limit for all species in Essentials)

(*)Type: (Either Normal, Fighting, Rock, Ghost, Steel, Bug, Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Flying, Poison, Psychic, Dark, Ice, Dragon, Ground, or Fairy. No fan-made types allowed. All submissions shouldn’t have more than two types on a single species. )

(*)Base Stats: (The stats your Pokemon species from HP to Special Defense. The numbers for each field can be anywhere between 0-255, but I really don’t want to see Pokemon with either the highest or the lowest number possible unless you have a good excuse. To give some perspective, stats lower than 80 are considered low, 80-100 is roughly average by fully-evolved pokemon standards, 100 – 139 is exceptional, and beyond that is godly. Try to give your pokemon statistical weaknesses as well as strengths. See the reference section to find examples)
HP:
Attack (atk):
Defense(def):
Speed(spe):
Special Attack(satk):
Special Defense(sdef):

(*)Moves by Level: (These are moves that your pokemon learns as it levels up. Specify the move and the level it learns it at (ex: TACKLE, lv1). Like the “Types” field, you cannot add new moves, but you CAN have ONE signature move provided that you give an explanation for it, and it is something that is compatible with Essentials. Make sure to create a sense of progression with these moves, as well. I don't want to see high-power moves like Hydropump come before a move like Water Gun. In addition, aside from the Fairy-type moves posted in the reference section, I am banning all Gen 6 moves, because Essentials doesn't support them yet.)

(*)Manual Moves: (These are moves that aren’t acquired through level-up, namely the TM, HM, and Tutor moves in-game. You can choose anything from the TM/HM/TUTOR LIST in the reference section.)

(*)Egg Group: (Information needed to know about the Pokemon’s breeding capabilities. You can have a max of two per species. Again, no new ones. See the reference section for more information about breeding types)

(*)Abilities: (Max of 2. Again, no new abilities, especially because implementing them into the game is much more difficult compared to moves or types. The list of working abilities for this engine can be found in the reference section. Similar to the ban on Gen 6 moves, I'm also putting a ban on Gen 6 abilities here as well.)

(*)Species: (What your pokemon is. For example, Pikachu is a “Mouse Pokemon”)

(*)Dex Entry: (Describe your Pokemon! Keep it a short paragraph around 2-3 sentences, as Essentials does have a character limit when displaying descriptions in the Pokedex)

(*)Habitat: (Either “ grasslands”,” treetops”, “caves”, “water”, “ buildings” or “unknown” – This is information mainly dictates where your pokemon appears in the game. For instance, stating your pokemon’s habitat is “water” means that the player will find it by fishing or using Surf. The “unknown” category should be used mainly for evolutions which don’t appear in the wild or legendary pokemon)

Evolution: (Only required if you want your Pokemon to have an evolution. Also needs to show its method of evolution, like “Sunflora, by Sunstone” or “Raticate at level 20.” Only evolution method I am banning is Trading, because only in-game trades work with Essentials. Refer to the reference section to see which evolution methods are available)

Alternate Form(s): (Only if you want to get your pokemon an alternate form. Talk to me to find out what's possible. Try to keep alternate forms of pokemon novel in a sort of way, which is why this field is optional)

Held Item: (Some pokemon in the games hold items in the wild.Specify what it is here if you want. Currently with Essentials, no items from Gen 6 (Pokemon X/Y) are implemented.)

Gender Rate:(Either “Always Male”, ”Always Female”, 1/8th Female, 25% Female, 50% Female, 75% Female, or Genderless. If you don’t specify this, I’ll generally assume your Pokemon is “50% Female”)

Height and Weight: (If you want to go into more specifics, but I won’t bug you about this so much)

Cry: (A sound effect of your pokemon, or a description as how you want your pokemon to sound. Again, this field is for the super-committed who don’t mind going through the trouble of creating a cry for me to use, and is not a requirement)

These are slots for Pokémon designed to serve a specific purpose in the game, such as the token Legendary or fossil Pokémon. What makes these special is that only one person is in charge of them, and from the moment this event is posted, they are up for grabs. First-come, first-serve! When submitting your entry, please indicate somewhere that this is part of these special slots.

Here are the instructions for each slot:

EARLY ROUTE:(TAKEN BY: JayjeAthravein)
  • Consists of five pokemon total: consisting of a pokemon that has one stage of evolution (Like Rattata) and another that has two stages (Like Pidgey). These pokemon should be designed specifically to appear in the early/first stages of the game. They should not pose too big of a threat to the starter pokemon (as in having a move that is super-effective to either grass, water, or fire). Also, their early forms should have slightly lower base stats compared to the starters (BST averages around 215 to 255 for these types of mons). Otherwise, you don’t need to make them rodent or bird themed if you don’t want to, just try to keep their inner mechanics from being over-whelming for beginning players.

FOSSIL: (TAKEN BY: Nerdybastard)
  • These are four pokemon, as in two pokemon and their evolutions, that are obtained by reviving a fossil item. Only requirement is to stick with a theme for these. For example, if you want a pokemon based on an animal from the Permian period of earth’s history, both pokemon should be something from that period.

LEGENDARIES:(TAKEN BY: seiromen)
  • The big cheeses of the game. The reason this is a separate slot in particular is because in the official titles, the legendaries often dictate the progression of the main storyline, or the underlying theme of the game. Kyogre and Groudon, for example, fit into the struggle between Team Aqua and Magma in their battle to create a world filled with one element. These shouldn’t be more than two Pokémon, and they should have REALLY good stats, but don’t go overboard!

STARTERS: (TAKEN BY: Ratty524)
  • I’ll mainly be in charge of the starters for this event, but of course, just because it’s a judge submission, doesn’t mean you can’t give feedback!

  • Make your Pokemon look interesting- I’ll reiterate that it’s the idea that counts for this event, not the artistic quality. I’ll only worry about making the art style fit once I put this game together. To give an example, say you wanted to make a Pokemon based on a light bulb. A submission that looks like a regular light bulb with a smily face would not be accepted. However, a Pokemon that has that lightbulb as part of a tail, or is some alien creature that has a head shaped as a light bulb will be approved, because those actually use the concept of a “Lightbulb Pokemon” in a creative way. In addition, try not to make your submissions look too much like edits of existing Pokemon.

  • Make sense with your submissions – I’m not necessarily saying your pokemon’s appearance should make sense, that’ll be Farfetch’d (AIN’T I A RIOT!?). What I am saying is that their stats, movepools, abilities and whatnot should reflect the Pokemon. If your Pokemon is a flower, for instance, giving it moves like Flamethrower or Draco Meteor would look horribly out of place. Similarly, giving 255 base defense on a Pokemon made of glass also looks off, or giving a Flying-type Pokemon Levitate as its ability, and so on. Doing research on the Pokemon of the official games really helps here, which is why the reference section exists.

  • Make sure every required field in the Submission Form is properly filled out – I know I’m asking a lot, here, but the required fields are required for a reason. The way Pokemon Essentials works is that it stores various game data information through notepads, including Pokemon. I can’t just input the name of a species and have it magically work. Also, say you wanted your submission to be a relatively powerful Pokemon. Without information on stats/movepools, I will be forced to make things up, to which the results of the final game has a chance of disappointing you. Trust me on this, filling out the fields properly will make things easy for BOTH of us!

The 524 is for 524 Stone Crabs

Few errors:

- Phim's evolution methods have been changed after technical issues involved with its implementation, and I talked about it matthewac already. The branch should be:
Phim > Meryphim if its Special Attack is higher or the same as its Attack
Phim > Marubim if its Attack is higher than its Special Attack.

- I need to give you some updated level-up movepool information. Matthewac and I are working on it right now.

I like how your page is coming along. I could already make for some nice trivia information, if you plan on adding that as well. I didn't think Mycelite would be the only one with a BST of 262, nor did I think Crabammer would have the 3rd highest base Attack of all RMN Pokemon. xD

Sorry about all of the laziness on my behalf.

Yes, I was working on the icons for Skrewpent and Seradder, but I ran into a problem with the program I was using. So I can't make the icons... I'm completely fine with the fact that someone took them over.

About putting my stuff on google docs... My laptop has COS, so it's the only way I can make stuff without using my desktop computer, which is rarely available. If you had asked me I could/would have transferred them to text files though.

Eh, that's cool. For the submissions I may have cut you a bit too much slack, as I would have still accepted it in some form of package that I can keep track of, but it's water under the bridge now.

Alright, I've got a beef with a certain evolution method.....

Heatherain Into Heaven: Lvl 80

That's 16 more levels than to evolve into Hydreigon!

I'd say either shave off 15 of the levels required or change it to a shiny stone. Roselia to Roserade has around the same number of BST increase, from 400 to 515 (115 increase) while heatherain has a 130 BST increase(+10 to HP Def, and ATK doesn't change the fact that it still can't use physical attacks or take a physical hit to save it's life, so it's more like a 100 increase to BST)

TL;DR I say you should change Heatherain's evolution to use a shiny stone

I had the same concern as you did initially, though I reasoned that because not many other submissions have as high of a SpAtk and SpDef as it does (heck, it has the highest base SpDef and second-highest base SpAtk of all our submissions!), and it's really the only one that has such a high level up method, I let it slide. I could change its leveling rate to fast instead of medium to make up for it, though.

Looking at that stat list again, lol I made some slow-ass Pokemon. Mycelite with the lowest base speed of all submissions at 15, Alampita at 35, Crabang at 40, Farimp 40, Chi-nun at 45, Crabammer 47, Siremp 58, Chi-Yim 72 and Serempity at 78. xD
I have a move change for Tomamight if thats ok. Can you swap Energy Ball and replace it with X Scissor and swap Bullet Seed and replace it with Sleep Powder?

It already knows X-Scissor and Energy ball via TM, why not keep both? I also don't necessarily agree with Sleep Powder since it's a move that tends to go on more fragrance-oriented grass types and not so much the viney, fruit-like grass types. Your Pokemon is a Tomato, bullet seed makes sense.

It COULD be a possible egg move for Tomamer, though. I'm honestly not sure about it.
I realised about X Scissor being a TM after I made my post, as far as sleep powder goes I understand. I want Tomamight to have another status inflicting move other then poison, but I'm drawing blanks on what. I do understand about the powder move though.

EDIT: Seeing as they are Tomatoes, I do see what you mean about Bullet Seed making alot of sense.

It has constricting moves like wrap, which has excellent synergy with poison. It also has ingrain (referring to the edited moves here, I still need to send updates to Fomar >_<) for recovery options. Worry seed also has potential use.

Heck, I just looked through the TM list, Tomamer gets toxic, the most powerful poisoning status move (which everyone learns), Giga Drain which has synergy with Ingrain, Sunny Day, Knock Off, Protect and Detect, etc. I think you are underestimating the value of its current options for status moves. :P

I DO have a recommendation, after taking a second look at its level up moves, maybe you can add Poison Jab? The fact that it learns Poison sting as its only poison-type "stinging" move is kind of odd. I think it can go in Worry Seed's slot (at level 38), and Worry seed will replace Knock-off at level 28 (it can learn Knock-Off by tutoring anyway). What do you think?
I wasn't undersetimating it's moveset at all, I'm very aware of how useful the set is. I'm just a big fan of status inflicting moves like sleep and paralyze and so on. I do like the idea for Poion Jab though, perhaps take out Energy Ball and put Poison Jab in. Cuz it learns Needle Arm and Leaf Blade, two very nice grass moves.

I do have a question though, is it possible to make a custom move just for Tomamight? If so I came up with this. Knockout Needle, 60 POW 10 PP and has a 20% chance to inflict sleep and is Grass type.

EDIT: About Energy ball, it's a great move and all but after second though. It don't really seem to me like it fits as a learn by level move. Energy Ball seems like it would be on a "preaty" pokemon similar to Bellosom and Butterfree. To me lol, there isn't anything preaty aboout a creepy walking tomatoe with spikes.

I really don't want to add any more signature moves than what's there, because (1) I still feel like you don't need to make your submission better than what it already is by giving an extra status move, and (2) I really want to move this project forward. The only changes I'm willing to make with the Pokemon at this point are just polishing/fine-tuning and maybe graphics.

Also, where are you getting Energy Ball from it's level-up moves? Lol, again I still need to send in my updates to Fomar for the wiki, because after our talk about changing the Tomamer line's level-up pool, it no longer learns Energy Ball by level-up.

For your reference, this is it's current set of level-up moves:
author=Tomamight
Level - 1,TACKLE
Level - 1,POISONSTING
Level - 1,CONSTRICT
Level - 4,GROWTH
Level - 9,VINEWHIP
Level - 14,NATURALGIFT
Level - 17,MAGICALLEAF
Level - 22,INGRAIN
Level - 25,NEEDLEARM
Level - 28,KNOCKOFF -> Worry Seed
Level - 33,SEEDBOMB
Level - 38,WORRYSEED -> Poison Jab
Level - 41,LEAFBLADE
Level - 46,WRINGOUT
Level - 51,LEAFSTORM
Level - 54,PETALDANCE

The ones I highlighted are there to illustrate what I propose you could change.

Fomar, if you are reading this, I'm going to send you a new package containing all the updates so far and other info you can add soon.

-----------------------
By the way, I decided to do a google search of this game to see if anyone outside of the community took notice of this event, and I just so happened to stumble upon a post on Smogon's forums:
author=Anonymous
I myself am curious at how they would all fair if they were restricted to a "metagame" of their own, and in the current meta.
There's 151 one of them, 3 Legendary or "Ubers" They all have their own art, designated stats, abilities etc.

I'd like someone who's experienced with such things to.... uh.... "Indulge" me (?) by doing this for me! Because I didn't plan on giving anything to the person who does it.

Summary: Analyze the pokemon we've created into either their own meta (Just them against each other) or in the current meta.

Basically this person I don't know(/blatant lies) is requesting an analysis as to how our guys would fare competitively. To me, this may or may not matter. I did stumble across a script which allows online multiplayer in Essentials, but I really don't want to add it in this game as it is currently lacking in stability (the game script apparently crashes for the loser of a match), but it might work as maybe a separate game I could add in addition to this project. But heck, I seeing a tier list of RMN Pokemon would be kind of cool.

Here are my thoughts on each evolved Poke's potential, provided they are facing each other:

Joubush - I think 120 base attack isn't a laughing matter, plus typing which gives it only 2 weaknesses, and excellent coverage with Close Combat, Drill Peck, Iron Head and PowerWhip could make this a beast of a physical sweeper. Those poor defensive stats and maybe some other faster Pokemon could mitigate it, though.

Dragablo - Kind of worried people might not know what to do with this initially, due to its deliberately counter-intuitive movepool. It's supposed to be a bulky mixed attacker, though maybe Nasty Plot (which it learns via egg move) could support a strictly special set. Piss poor special defense and an exploitable type combo could hurt its chances for OU, though, maybe higher UU at least?

Sirempity - With dual Water/Fairy typing it only has one weakness, Poison, and that can be negated by access to psychic moves; and seven resistances plus an immunity to Dragon. I don't know if it will shine with its stat spread, though, since I made this thing to support, but with that typing it could probably do that well.

Flamesoul - Dat 60 base speed... Even with 120 Attack it's hard to say this thing will be favored for standard play. Moody is could but more than likely going to be banned, and Solar Power would kind of regulate it to a weather team, and note that none of our submissions have Drought. Maybe mid/lower tier UU.

Hydroka - With 120 HP and serene grace to boost the chance of additional effects, it could be something. I can see its bad defenses and speed hinder it a lot, but with the good defensive properties of Water typing it may or may not be an issue.

Junipervan - Considering its poor HP and presence of ridiculously high attack stat Pokemon like Raicicle, I don't know if its high Defense will amount to much. Access to Chlorophyll and Spore could give it some potential use, though.

Lectrei - I place my bets that this will be the most sought-after Atmana evo. It's 120 base speed, Prankster as an ability, and access to Recover, Thunderwave, Volt Switch, and Baton Pass (going by revised moveset, here) would make this thing one of the best utility Pokemon for a competitive team, at least in my eyes.

Raicicle - Might end up in high UU or BL for the same reason as Kyurem. It's 190 base attack is balanced out by poor defenses, speed, and no access to priority moves, that and Ice-typing tends to always bring out more weaknesses than resistances.

Ripodictya - Dat quiver dance. Otherwise I don't know.

Limbatent - Has versatility on its side. I don't know about its 105 base special attack, though, considering there are plenty with higher stats.

Vulkanylos - Doesn't seem too bad, but with low base speed and relatively average stats it might be easily countered. It probably won't have a high usage rating.

Venohm - Poison Touch and Voltabsorb are good, otherwise there is nothing that particularly stands out about this thing, except for stockpile acess? Plus a 4x weakness to ground...

Irritormen - Having a type combo giving it only one weakness (Fairy) and access to typical Ghosty moves might make it useful. Not sure where it will land.

Echeel - Shit stats. NU for sure.

Quodash - might be standard only due to its 120 base speed, and it would be an option for potentially dealing with Heaven, which I think could be a threat.

Beluga - Hey, it's a Dragon. It has a pretty broad movepool, too so it might fit into standard play.

Boganna - Beefy stats overall, AND it has Dragon Dance. I'd count on this being one of the top threats.

Plantossus - Rock/Grass isn't a bad type combo, and with 132 base attack and 104 base defense, plus access to Natural Cure, there is a reason why I'm putting this guy in the later stages of the game.

Muspyg - Could fit the role of a glass-cannon sweeper very well. Hell, it even has tail glow.

Libraphant - Having the higest base defense of all submissions, plus 120 base special defense,110 HP, and pure Steel typing, I'd be surprised if it didn't pop up as being the top defensive threat in this hypothetical metagame.

Pozitron - Dat 28 HP... It might have some use for stalling, I don't know.

Seradder - It's defensive stats aren't bad, and it gets Heatproof. With its more offensively geared movepool I think it'll distinguish itself from Libraphant in that people will probably use it for attacking.

Zhilong - Nothing too stellar about its stats. Levitate is good for alleviating an otherwise ground weakness, however. Could be used moderately.

Diablode - Lol that 120 defense, and lol iron barbs. Maybe it could take the role of Forretress in that it sets up and then explodes in people's faces.

Alampita - I didn't intend this guy to be anything special. It's only good stat is its HP, and the rest of its stats are pretty average. It might be a threat in UU, though.

Excaloch - Solid Rock would be VERY handy for its 4x weakness to Grass and Water, but with 50 base Special Defense I'm not sure.

Ddraig - Pretty bulky minus special defense. It could feasibly use Bulk-Up to set up and Guts would punish those who try to stall it.

Equistro - Don't know about this guy's potential, but having both Volt Absorb and Sap Sipper, plus its Flying typing to negate Ground moves, it might make for a good switch-in to things.

Catlyx - It's only slightly bad in its defense. Might make for a bulky attacker since Grass doesn't really have any good offensive properties.

Troxin - No clue. I guess it might take the role of Venusaur, only physical?

Swantweet - 110 base speed and 90 attack isn't bad. It even gets Sword Dance. Don't know if it will be commonly used, though.

Crabammer - 140 base attack and access to Shell Smash could make it pretty beastly, but otherwise its low special defense and speed could make it very easily countered.

Torgheist - Defenses are okay, but it also gets Mummy. Might be used as a water-type bruiser.

Chi-Yim - I don't know if people will bother using her as a special wall. No Guard + moves like Focus Blast and Dynamic Punch is pretty OP, though.

Megamouth - HP's great, offensive stats are good. Horrid defenses and a weakness to ground might not make it favorable for competitive players, though.

Marubim - It might sell with its unique type combo and access to Dragon Dance. I don't know if that would matter since it has 56 base speed.

Meryphim - I think quiver dance could make this a potential threat, but it would kind of depend on practice since she would essentially need to build up stats in order to stand out a bit more.

Astragon - Motha effin' ghost/dragon with levitate. It's only real weakness comes from low HP. Otherwise I think this guy might have a place.

Volice - 100 HP and 105 attack is actually pretty impressive for a common, early route Pokemon. Regardless, Ground/Ice typing opens up so many weaknesses, even with Thick Fat. Playtesting this game, it's pre-evo is so easily beaten by the stab moves from the starters, and I doubt this guy will be any different. It's no Mamoswine.

Curveat - Low special defense might not be a big deal when its primary threat comes from ground and fighting attacks. It even gets Rapid Spin and Recover, so it could be used as a lesser utility.

Borabol - 124 HP and 105 special defense, with Filter powering down super-effective attacks. I think this guy will make it, probably as a wall of some sort.

Mantennae - Lightningrod makes this the excellent troll. Aside from attack, speed, and defense there isn't much that's bad about this guy at a glance. Might not be a top threat, but could still be something players would need to look out for.

Ellefan - Stats are very average-to-mediocre at best, but with Trace and being one of the few submissions with access to Fake Out I could see it working well as an unconventional pick who copies the foe's abilities to use to its advantage, or stall/recover with Bad Dreams.

Loblotomy - Intimidate is some serious sh*t. I think this would be a decent option for stall-based teams, though it's type combo grants it no resistances...

Bassacre - It's stat spread leaves more to be desired, but with Intimidate it could pose some sort of threat competitively. Also normal typing opens up its movepool, so... Not sure if it'll be a top pick or not but it may have potential.

Darspirita - It's both fast and has an excellent attack stat, plus Levitate. I would lol if this thing wound up in a tier below BL.

Claspirito - Anything that is both a steel type and has levitate tends to get players flocking in my past experience. Hell, this thing actually has only 1 type weakness: Fire, and with the water moves it learned from its pre-evos that's pretty much made moot. Would make it as a defensive threat for sure.

Tomamight - Not TOO bad at a glance, though the fact that the only stat it excels in is its 120 HP and its ability better supports double battles means that it's usage might be moderate at best.

Flaurum - As a whole the stats are a teensy bit under par, but I can see it being exploited on weather teams, especially since its dual stab of fire moves and solar beam would support it greatly.

Chibiwawa - Could maybe pull of something similar to a Guts+Facade sweep, but otherwise I doubt people would seek to play this Pokemon on the account of its below-average stat spread.

Nasorsal - Not much that stands out in particular to me, but it could make a decent pick on Rain teams with Hydration. Maybe a niche picked overall.

Heaven - 140 s attack and sdef, plus 100 base speed could make this thing one of the most threatening special sweepers in this game. The thing is also isn't weak to things that Psychic is normally, with Dark being neutralized by Fairy typing. It does have its statistical weaknesses, though.

Fuzard - Marvel Scale seems pretty hot if you can get this thing status'd. Otherwise, I don't think people would have much of a reason to use this when there are better physical attackers to choose from who aren't weak to ground.

Funkound - The grooviest Pokemon in the region is also the fastest. It has a good physical pool but the stats don't support it. Not sure about it.

Tikurai - Stally Mc Stallson with Bad dreams plus sleep-inducing moves? It may be of situational use as its entire set revolves around taking advantage of sleeping Pokemon.

Totemvolt - Not much better in stats than Chibiwawa.

Shredax - It's fast and has a decent attack stat. May be the go-to physical sweeper for those who can't fit Muspyg on their team. It's abilities aren't really ideal, however, due to how scarcely competitive players use sound or confusion moves.

Levitomb - Not exactly the best as far as stats are concerned. 100 base sDef kind of looks measly when you've got Chi-Yim, Libraphant, and Heaven in the same room. Levitate might be a selling point, however.

Tricalp - Might be the go-to Pokemon for sandstorm teams, since I think it's the only Pokemon who has sand stream here. I generally don't know if weather teams will be relied on at all in this game.

Atavism - Looking at the stats, I don't think Atavism will be in too bad of a spot. Might be overshadowed by Heaven, but by comparison it's 5 points faster, and it gets Synchronize.

Bundulate - It's the only submission with Magic Bounce, and none of its stats are below 80, nor above 100. Might be a good option to counter stall if people bother with it.

Hypster - Big hippo has big HP, and good special attack to boot. It also has thick fat and synchronize which can both be good options competitively. Might be a great dual-screen user or tanky special attacker.

Killerbeat - has the highest base HP of all our submissions at 180, coupled with 80 base special defense your best option for dealing with it would be to use physical attacks. That and it gets Thick Fat. While it has a 95 base attack, though, it doesn't have a lot of physical moves to exploit it with, though. Not sure if it'll be favored or not.

Tornment - Even with relatively mediocre stats it's ghost/steel typing, Iron Fist and Cursed Body might save it. Its another pokemon whose stats don't go below 80.

Dwarkin - I think there are slightly stronger physical attackers that might overshadow this guy, but it's stats are rounded enough to at least pose a threat to UU.

Spiritatue - It's stats are mediocre, but it could possibly troll with Solid Rock? It also has moves like Destiny Bond, Whirlwind, and Recover to boot, but I don't know if this thing will survive in high tiers.

Acarphogus - Not as stellar as Darspirita in the fast squishy physical sweeper department, but I can see some potential use, being faster than Heaven and murdering psychics in general with a dual stab Pursuit and X-Scissor set.

Maelstorm - Levitating bulky waters are a plus in my book. I don't see much about it that would decrease its changes of winding up in standard play.

Myobu - stats are pretty meh. No ground resistance could also cut its time on the battlefield short.

Bigfoot - 120 HP plus intimidate could be something, as the rest of its stats don't go above 80, though, I'm not sure were it will land.

Spitfire - I almost wish this thing had an evolution on the account of its terrible stats. Maybe it could get one next time...

Superbtron - It's HP is superb alright, oh and it gets Prankster AND Regenerator. It's movepool is a bit on the quirky side, though. Not sure where this guy will land.

Leninja - So many RMN Pokemon have 100 base speed it's not even funny anymore... It DOES have an interesting stat spread, though. Other than HP and Speed every stat is at 80. The fact that it doesn't particularly excel anywhere in that regard might cause it to wind up in lower tiers.

Byakestial - 130 base attack and 110 base speed, plus you can't crit this guy. It even gets cosmic power. Earthquake might give it problems, but this is OU for sure.

Suzaestial - They all learn cosmic power, do they? 4x weakness to rock might give it problems, but with a 135 special attack and decent 95 speed I think this guy can wreck if given the chance.

Genbestial - Water/Ground typing gives it one type weakness, and with both defense stats being over 120 it's not like it's going to go down easily. Also holy sh*t it gets Curse. This thing will be ballin'.

Dirangers - While I don't think it would be ridiculously overused, Imposter might really give it use as a revenge killer for set-up sweepers.

Carvora - OP.

Atardis - OP.

Antipode - Movepool consists of legendary exclusives. OP indeed.

I'm not the best at this sort of thing as you can tell. :P
I'm still chugging away. I'm adding in trivia sections if anyone wants to provide any.

As for Claspirito I nearly put down Shell Smash but I figured it was both unfair to his female counterpart who wouldn't get anything as awesome and I didn't want to be the one to introduce Smash-Pass into Pokemon RMN version. Once I finish the move pages I shall find out if there is any smash passing.
Here's a good question, what's worse. A Pokemon with really good stats and a bad move pool or a Pokemon with A really good move pool but bad stats?

Here's a good question, what's worse. A Pokemon with really good stats and a bad move pool or a Pokemon with A really good move pool but bad stats?

Bad stats good movepool (Look at smeargle)

After all, if you have good stats, you can at least use your limited moves to good effect. While having many moves to use doesn't change the fact you can't use them effectively.

author=Ratty
With dual water/fairy combo it only has one weakness

It has three weaknesses Ratty, Fairy doesn't resist grass or electric, so Serempity is still weak to them.

I also still think a lvl 80 evolution is utterly ridiculous. I don't care that it's special stats are godly, there are still faster pokemon who can Murder Heaven with their physical attacks. Seriously, it has worse hp than smeargle!
You mark my words, anybody who doesn't know that it evolves at level 80 wont bother bringing it past lvl 60! A shiny stone or a level up less than 70 is all you need.

AND ANOTHER THING!
I think the evolutionary methods of Troxin and Catlyx should be switched.
I mean, why would regularaly leveling up get rid of the poison typing, but useing a leaf stone doesn't?
Why not have the level up method not change the typing, while using a leaf stone "Purifies" the biseed of it's poison typing?
That'd make more sense to me.
I made my Pokemon with their competitive potential in mind, so I'll give some input on what I think they can be used for.

Marubim
A Marubim with 252 EVs and a positive nature in Speed reaches 234 Speed at level 100. At +1 (150%), that's ~351 Speed, which means that a Marubim which has 1 Dragon Dance under its belt can at least tie in speed with base 110 Speed Pokemon with 252 EVs and a positive nature in Speed, assuming of course they aren't wearing a Choice Scarf. That, when combined with a base 107 Attack, two great attacking STABs (one of which gives STAB on Drain Punch), decent coverage, and good bulk and resistances makes Marubim quite a threatening Dragon Dance sweeper. It would play a lot like DD Scrafty.
All of that is assuming, of course, he can safely get a boost in. Unboosted, Maribum's 234 Speed gets outsped by Pokemon with a base 83 Speed, assuming 31 IVs and 0 EVs with a neutral nature. On top of that, Marubim's special bulk really isn't that great without investment, meaning that strong special attacks will do a lot of damage.

One can also go the defensive route with a Bulk Up Marubim. Bulk Up takes advantage of Marubim's more natural strengths, those being it's above average HP, Attack, and Defense stats, combined with it's strong physical STABs. For this set, a EV spread which invests in HP and Special Defense is suggested, since Marubim can always use Bulk Up to make it more physically threatening and defensive. Coincidentally, this set would play a lot like Bulk Up Scrafty.

Marubim can also abuse Serene Grace to pull off some shenanigans. Force Palm, with Serene Grace, has a 60% chance of paralyzing the opponent, and also gets a STAB boost to boot. This combined with either Teeter Dance or any of the Headbutt-esque moves (or both) can leave an opponent with a high chance of doing nothing while having their health chipped away. Though a weak move, Ring Dance can help here too to trap paralyzed opponents while adding on to the damage per turn.

If Phim gets Quiver Dance via breeding, Quiver Dance Marubim might also be an interesting alternative. Marubim gets some decent special moves via Phim's level-up movepool, such as Moonblast and Extrasensory, and Quiver Dance also helps patch up Marubim's below average Special Defense. I'm pretty sure this wouldn't be a very popular competitive choice, though, since there are other, much better users of Quiver Dance such as Meryphim, Sirempity, and Ripodictya.

From my recollection, Marubim's biggest counters are most Flying-types and Steel-types who resist Fighting. Also, as mentioned before, strong special attackers are also a problem for Marubim, especially if they use one of the three specially attacking types Marubim is weak to.

Meryphim
A base 94 Speed, with a neutral nature and 252 EVs and 31 IVs, finals out to 287 Speed, which with a single boost is ~430 Speed. That outspeeds Pokemon with base 145 Speed and less, assuming they aren't Scarfed.
This is good news for Quiver Dance Meryphim, since it only needs a single boost to be able to outspeed the entire unboosted (RMNmon) metagame. With another boost, it can outspeed any (RMN) Pokemon wearing a Scarf, which it has a good chance of getting thanks to it's great special bulk. It also has access to Hypnosis to potentially cripple a counter on the switch, though this is a bit risky since Hypnosis has shoddy accuracy.

Besides Quiver Dance, Meryphim doesn't have very many options to be honest, though with Moonlight and Serene Grace it can pull off a special wall set exceptionally well. It can't take physical hits very well at all, and any Meryphim set has to watch out for strong Bullet Punch users.

Curveat
I actually made Curveat with the purpose of partnering it with Marubim to make a very strong physically defensive core. Curveat resists Steel and Flying, and either of its abilities reduce the effectiveness of Poison-type attacks, while Marubim resists Fighting and laughs at most Earthquake users while setting up in their faces.

On its own, Curveat can either be a physically defensive wall/support, using moves like Spikes, Recover, Counter, and Rapid Spin, OR it can try a Guts set, abusing STAB Facade with Wild Charge (apparently it gets Volt Tackle through breeding, so that too) and Waterfall or Drill Run for coverage.
The Guts set would probably need a Choice Scarf or Agility to work effectively, since Curveat is pretty slow otherwise. For what it's worth, Curveat with a full Speed investment and a positive Speed nature reaches 433 Speed with a Scarf, which outspeeds the entire metagame not wearing a Scarf or with some other speed boosts.

Borabol (By the way, I don't know if you saw in an earlier post I made that I'd like Borabol and Borc to learn Lava Plume by level-up rather than Flamethrower).
What's interesting about this Pokemon is that although I originally made it to be a Dark/Flying type, it still works pretty much the same way with its Fire/Flying typing. In case its base 124 HP, base 105 Special Defense, and ability in Filter wasn't obvious enough, Borabol is meant to be a tanky support with some offensive presence.
Borabol has a huge movepool, so there's a lot it can do, but two of its more interesting options are Tailwind and Imprison. Borabol's Imprison actually has the potential to be quite strong due to it's movepool.

Mantennae
I made Mantennae to be a specially defensive partner to Borabol. Back when Borabol was a Dark/Flying-type, Mantennae resisted Ice and was immune to Electric; this is still pretty much the same with the Fire/Flying typing, though Mantennae is now tanking Water-type attacks for Borabol instead of Ice. On the flip side, either iteration of Borabol resisted Mantennae's one weakness, Grass.

As Ratty noticed, Mantennae is geared towards filling the standard role of the Bulky Water, burning things with Scald, tanking hits with the help of Roost and Aqua Ring, and just all around being a boss. Though Mantennae doesn't have much else to offer besides being a tanky Water-type, it's ability in Lightningrod helps it fufill that role extremely well.

As a parting comment, I think Flaurum has the potential to be the best SubSeeder in existence under Sunny conditions, since it can wipe out any Grass-types trying to tank Leech Seed with a Fire-type move.

EDIT: Also I agree with pretty much everything seiromem said in the above comment.

I'm still chugging away. I'm adding in trivia sections if anyone wants to provide any.

Here's a trivia for Ellefan. Its species name comes from the japanese name of Ghost Fairy Elfobia (Ikai no Yōsei Erufobia, according to a certain YuGiOh wiki, it's translated as Bizarre Fairy Elfobia). Also its typing (Ghost/Fairy) comes from this card too.

Here is the page I used as reference while making the... rmnmon.
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Ghost_Fairy_Elfobia

I also had something about the base stat total being 485, but it was a little cryptic and I forgot what it was xD. It had something to do about the card ID numbers.

Lastly, dunno if this can be considered a trivia, but here it goes. The shiny version colors are supposed to be based on this Titania from Shin Megami Tensei link. That at least was the idea of giving her golden hair.

(As for the dex description, I just wanted something like our good and friendly kidnapper Hypno).

I'm still chugging away. I'm adding in trivia sections if anyone wants to provide any.
Some trivia for my Pokemon...

  • Borc and Borabol were originally submitted as Dark/Flying Pokemon; however, due to Ratty's concern that there were already too many Dark-types in the game, the two Pokemon were resubmitted and accepted as Fire/Flying Pokemon.
  • Rather than having a set design concept, I based Borabol's design more on an impression I wanted the viewer to get when they see the Pokemon. The idea I was trying to convey was that this is a creature which visually defies any sort of convention about being graceful or angelic, and yet its behavior belies intelligence and sophistication.
  • Borc's design, initially, was supposed to highlight a contrast between it and Borabol; Borc was to be a seemingly helpless and pathetic creature which, after much time, became the more dignified Borabol. It was only after I showed the concept art to some of my friends that I saw that Borc was basically a flying pig, which gave it a connection to the phrase "when pigs can fly". While that last bit isn't a central part of the concept, Borc's dex entry is a direct reference to this connection. The two Pokemons' resemblance to pigs is also referenced in their names (Borabol = boar + diabolic, Borc = boar + pork OR boar + last letter of diabolic).
  • Phim, Marubim, and Meryphim are all based on the concept of fairy rings; the Pokemon are meant to portray the types of fairies that are associated with such phenomenon. This is why the evolutionary family can learn so many dance-based moves, such as Entrainment, Dragon Dance, and Quiver Dance. Also, the evolutionary line's signature move, Ring Dance, is a direct reference to fairy rings, since legends say that those who get caught in a fairy ring dance will be trapped there until they are rescued.
  • The Phim evolutionary family also takes inspiration from angels. This is most obvious from their names. Phim is the last four letters of seraphim, which are a type of angel. Seraphim are said to be bathed constantly in brilliant light, and circle God's throne whilst singing praise. Similarly, Meryphim is a combination of the words merry + seraphim, referring to the dancing lifestyle these Pokemon lead, and also slightly referencing the phrase "merry-making", which to me seems a little antiquated, and thus fits the theme of fairy rings since the beliefs surrounding them have been long antiquated. Marubim is a combination of the words martial + cherubim. Cherubim are a different kind of angel which are said to be the protectors of god's throne.
(Here, by the way, is a neat article on the whole Christian hierarchy of angels. It's an interesting read.)
  • Curvri = curl + Ohm's law (V=IR)
    Curveat = curl + caveat
  • Hedgehogs are among a list of animals that are immune to certain types of venom. This is why both of the abilities of the Curvri family either take advantage of or discount the Poison status.
  • Mantennae (manta ray + antennae by the way, if that wasn't obvious enough) was originally going to be called Mantway (manta ray + way) until I talked to my roommate about it and he suggested the current name.
  • Mantennae's species name is a reference to an actual navigational tool called the pelorus, which assists sailors in navigation by providing relative directional headings.

It has three weaknesses Ratty, Fairy doesn't resist grass or electric, so Serempity is still weak to them.

Derp. I forgot about those water weaknesses, xD Matthew is a heck of a lot better than I am at these analysis it seams. We did talk about putting up a server on the Pokemon Showdown! battle simulator so we can all go at it with our RMNmons, though currently I don't know how you would implement fakemon through that program. It makes me wonder what CAP did...

You raise a good point. Heck, the entire line has a bit of an overblown evolution level curve (you need to get Heatha to level 40 to evolve). I could probably bring it up with jin in regards to making the levels of the entire heatha line lower, or just say blah meh and do it myself.

It also makes more sense by their dex entries. A Biseed becomes a Catlyx when it finds a spot for its seed to grow and bloom. If it doesn't find that spot, however, it becomes Troxin. Considering that Pokemon has to go through atypical means to change form, I think an evolution stone to Catlyx instead of Troxin makes more sense. I'll change it unless mordenglory disapproves.

@matthewac: That is a great analysis indeed. I need to brush up on how stat multipliers work in Pokemon. :P I think I developed only about 4 of my submissions with a competitive mindset, and moreso on how they would fit into the main game.

Oh, and awesome trivias, matthewac and orochii!
There's a file pokedex.js I believe:
exports.BattlePokedex = {

bulbasaur:{num:1,species:"Bulbasaur",types:["Grass","Poison"],genderRatio:{M:0.875,F:0.125},baseStats:{hp:45,atk:49,def:49,spa:65,spd:65,spe:45},abilities:{0:"Overgrow",H:"Chlorophyll"},heightm:0.7,weightkg:6.9,color:"Green",evos:["ivysaur"],eggGroups:["Monster","Grass"]},
ivysaur:{num:2,species:"Ivysaur",types:["Grass","Poison"],genderRatio:{M:0.875,F:0.125},baseStats:{hp:60,atk:62,def:63,spa:80,spd:80,spe:60},abilities:{0:"Overgrow",H:"Chlorophyll"},heightm:1,weightkg:13,color:"Green",prevo:"bulbasaur",evos:["venusaur"],evoLevel:16,eggGroups:["Monster","Grass"]}
};

I can make Pokemon essentials output the data files just like that if it helps.

For now, I'd stick to worry about the content of the main game, since there is still some tweaking and adjustments that need to be made here and there.

Also, I switched Catlyx's and Troxin's evolution methods last night. I also reduced the numbers at which the Heatha line evolves, to those I think would make sense considering its current movepool:

Heatha >level 25> Heatherain >level 32> Heaven

How does that work for y'all?

Well, we are missing two whole types... that's inconvenient.
There are no types missing, fighting and ice are the lowest amount, 5.26%, and that's what I put as the minimum, and the graph doesn't show their bars.
You should have included Strongdor, the fighting dragon!
