Staying up all night to play video games: Fun.
Staying up all night to watch your sister because she got up in the middle of the night because her sleep schedule is out of whack for the past few years and you yourself only got 4 hours of sleep: No comment...

Making her get her bitch-ass back into bed and stay there: priceless.

I assume your sister is between 2-5, because if she is older you're whipped.

Oh the 'fun' of seeing people unaware of the down-trodden kids taking care of their downsyndrome siblings.

I have an austistic brother and a semi-austistic sister. I haven't dealt with a down syndrome child myself, and I'm sorry if I offended you, but as an older sibling
I'm the kind of person who is regimented and strict in a nanny-type way- I am approachable and easy to get along with if you follow my rules, but there are consequences for not doing so.

I assume that the same route can't be taken with a Down syndrome child, but promoting her whacked sleeping pattern is not going to help either of you in the long run.
Trust me, I was not offended. You obviously would've reacted differently had you known the actual situation.
I myself was diagnosed high-functioning, though I was more a handful as a child than I am now (potentially.) However, I'm second youngest in my family, sister being youngest. And while I would love to stop promoting her sleeping habit, it's challenging to say the least...and parents, well...that situation isn't the hottest either.
Best case I can go with right now is keeping her up right now until night, then get her up early in the morning repeatedly until she learns.

How do you RMNers get that little text under your avatar? I've checked account and settings but can't just find it at all.
