I disagree with this. I like it when there's "regulars" around. Yeah people might get pissed when they don't get a power role but I think the game's more fun when not everyone has a ridiculous power.
There are players who are disappointed with what role one gets, but plays anyway. Then there's players who choose not to participate in the game since one is disappointed about one's role. Then there's rage-quitting. As far as everybody having as much fun with this type of game as possible, the players who fit the first category are most desirable.
I actually prefer the ones who really quit (Lily XD) than those who are just there, waiting to be lynched, but well I guess that is finally over.
