STAT REDUCING MAGICS (RM2K3)

I was wondering, you know how in the Pokemon games after you use a stat reducing skill on an opponent so many times, it wont let you lower that stat anymore? Well, is there a way to replicate that in RM2K3? I would love to use those type of skills, but not if I cant change it so players (or monsters) don't spam the skill. Thanks in advance for the assistance.
Does 2K3 allow you to make status effects that reduce stats? In Ace, effects classified as debuffs stack, but effects classified as status effects will only reduce a stat once, even if they do exactly what a debuff would do. (Ace also allows you to remove debuffs of a certain type from the target, then apply that same type of debuff with the same ability, avoiding duplication, but I'm not sure if 2K3 is that advanced.)

problem is, a status effect can do that. But not by a specific numbers, only by half or double.

Are there not checkboxes on the skill portion of the database that indicate what stat you want to increment/decrement in 2K3? Maybe I'm remembering 2K's database.
no there are, perhaps you mis understood me. Say I create ATTACK UP magic, and I set it to raise a characters attack by 20 on each cast. Well, there is no limit to how many increases that character can get. I can just spam the magic and make that character super strong for the entire battle.

The way I recall it, stat buff/debuff magic in 2K worked once and that's it. It would take a different user, or a different skill entirely, to get another buff/debuff. However, it's literally been years since I've tried anything in 2K. Plus, we're talking about 2K3, which is something I've not really used all that much.

You can grant defensive bonuses or penalties by manipulating elemental resistance instead of stats. See my tutorial on protect and shell status. But yeah as far as offense and speed go, rm2k3 sucks and you can't do that.
Actually rm2k3 allows you to do stacking effects but you have little control over it.

If you make a skill that raises 20 ATK, then you'll only be able to stack 3 of those.

If you change that skill to raise 200 ATK then it won't stack.

The more it raises the less you can stack. I think "attack influence" and "intelligence influence" change that too.

You need to test different values to check the amount of stack it allows.

You can do this for every status.

gam mak isn't easy, especially when you use a tool without proper instructions available =x
ah, i have settled with using conditions to serve as my stat raising magics. The sequel to my game will (most likely) be made in RMVXAce.
