CloseOne man is dead and another hospitalized after a bizarre assault off Miami's MacArthur Causeway reportedly forced a police officer to open fire.
City of Miami police say the incident began Saturday afternoon about 2 p.m. when an officer responded to reports of 2 men fighting in the bike path of the Biscayne Boulevard exit ramp, alongside the Miami Herald's parking garage. There, according to the Herald, the officer observed a naked man eating another man's face:
According to CBS Miami, police sources said the victim had "virtually no face" and was unrecognizable.
" attempted to separate them, there was some sort of confrontation," Miami Police spokesman Willie Moreno told Local10.
Photographs taken from the Herald's garage show the naked man lying dead at the scene. Police said the second male was transported to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

The officer...approached and saw that the naked man was actually chewing the other man's head, according to witnesses. The officer ordered the naked man to back away, and when he continued the assault, the officer shot him.
The attacker continued to eat the man, despite being shot, forcing the officer to continue firing. Witnesses said they heard at least a half dozen shots.

I'm betting that Meth was involved in this.
In fact, I see Meth as the actual catalyst for a so called Zombie outbreak in the near future. A large Meth manufacturing plant (yeah, I watch Breaking Bad, wanna fight about it?) explodes and contaminates the ground water/aquifer for some region - instantly addicting the populace of an entire town. Once the contamination runs its course, you have a town full of meth heads without any meth. That is a surefire recipe for hijinks!

That is kind of the point.
In my old band, (the horror punk one) the guys wanted me to do a story about Vampires vs Zombies. I gave it some thought but didn't have time to do much more than a rough outline. Low and behold, Deadliest Warrior (I think?) did a Vamp vs Zombie special.

Florida. It would have to be in Florida. Why do I still live down here? Granted Miami is still about 200 miles away from Tampa Bay, but still. A zombie could get here within two days, I'm sure.
