sign me up too, definitely.
So... I've just finished 16 characters + roles for my Death Note mafia...
I know it will be a while before my mafia, as there are three others before it, but I was thinking opening sign-ups can show whether I need to get rid of some characters? That may also help me fine-tune some skills.
Your opinion, Zeuzio?

I'd rather not clog up the Welp Welp forum with a million Mafia topics(is it too late for that?) Don't worry, you will still be able to start sign-ups well before it's time to actually start the game.

Alright, then I'll hold off for now. I'm excited about demon and garfield, and sitting at home with nothing to do makes one create roles way before it's actually needed. Oh well. I'm not bad at waiting. (Well... Not THAT bad)

My head just exploded with ideas for "Might, Magic, and Mafia". Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Anyway, I was thinking of a kind of "three strikes and you're out" concept for mod-kills. What would constitute as a strike? Having a post with a "Last edited" notation on it would be one way of getting a strike. Not posting for a consecutive 24 hours would be another. Posting after the Day Phase concludes, regardless of how it concludes, would be another.

So, what do you guys think of that? Fair? Unfair? Good? Neutral? Evil?

It sounds like a good idea, but you might want to be a little lenient on people posting after hammer. Often people don't know hammer has already taken place. What I'm going to do is make it a rule that when you vote, you have to check all earlier votes, and if your vote makes hammer, say so. That way people'll know when to stop talking.

I was thinking of just having vote-updates occur frequently enough (as time/opportunity/energy allows) so that players don't loose track of how soon the hammer is coming. This would be done as a service to me or, more likely, as a part of some perfectionist obsession and to the players of the game.

Also, "situations". I predict you guys will absolutely love me for it, or you will want to drag me out into the street and shoot me for it.
Ahh, "situations". It really depends, but the latter one will have a higher probability of it happening!
Cue another moment of me feeling stupid TT_TT, but situations? As in what?
I think it's the ones where you randomly pick a card (i.e. the game The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow) and the card has different "situations" in it. Examples would be uh, townies loses their (night) powers, etc etc etc. It is very random - it can either help town or mafia, hence Marrend's latter part of his sentence.

Alright, that sounds like fun. Although, if it's random, I guess it can destroy everything you've carefully planned too. XD I'm all for things that make the game take an unexpected turn, though, so I guess it should be fun. Yeah, I'll go with fun.
Sounds good to me, Marrend. Anything to shake things up with these games.

MAIDO POWER! because they know how to do everything except for cleaning.

well, there is a quite on the waiting list, so I will do the minigame with 11 while jeroen is running his mafia, that way Marrend can work on his ;)

Sign me up in advance!
People, I'll be going to France on a vacation on monday, but I'll try to stay as productive as I can in the games (which will probably not be very productive, but more productive than Despite) If the time for my game comes around before I'm back, Marrend, feel free to host yours before mine, as I'm not going to host a game while abroad. I think I'll start sign ups tomorrow, as it'll be hard to do that while in France, and that way I won't waste any time and can get cracking right away when I'm back, if Marrend's game is already finished before I'm back.
Vacation... in France... I hat-

I mean, er, nice! ^w^
@Jeroen
Wait, don't do the sign ups yet. We don't want to clog up Welp, Welp!

I suggest probably after the Demon Mafia, and maybe even after Cave's mini game.
The problem is I probably won't be able to start the sign-ups while in France, and if I want to start my game upon coming back, I need to have done the signups already.

Why must you start after returning from your vacation? It seems to me that you can just as easily start sign-ups after you return from your vacation. Besides, ivory does have a point with the two other mafias running. We don't want to saturate the Welp thread, and I don't think we would want too many mafia games to be running simultaneously anyway.

The one I'm going to run, well, I've definitely set up some roles and situations thus far. I'm thinking I can expand the game to have more roles, but that might be really iffy. I'm kinda worried about overall game balance, as it has been my bane in the past. Also, I'm figuring that I might be busy with the NaGaDeMo review drive enough to be distracted from mafia-playing in general.
