I'll post the code for my one complete level once I'm back at the Wii U, but for now, play this one:

Wallapalooza
B231-0000-004B-D3BD

It was made by a college professor of mine. It's pretty challenging, but very (IMO) well designed.
Ratty524
The 524 is for 524 Stone Crabs
12986
If only I owned a WiiU.
My Wii U user name is Davenport13.
I'm also available for Super Smash Bros Melee.
^ You can't search for specific users in Mario Maker based on their Nintendo ID - you can only search course IDs.
I really hope they fix this in the future, in addition to adding a "private upload" option so that you can share potentially-incomplete courses with only specific people for funsies or collaboration.

Anyways, I've only uploaded two very vanilla courses atm:

Super Maker Bros. 1-1: ECC3-0000-003A-2EBD
Just a short series of tight jumps. I don't know what's more inexplicable to me, though: why people are dying to the pit in the middle of the stage, or why I bothered to leave it there.
Super Maker Bros. 1-2: 39FB-0000-003A-320A
A basic underground stage. I didn't realize this before uploading, but the winged piranha plants somewhere around the middle of the stage can end up in a pretty awful cycle if you approach at a certain speed. Player has basically no choice at that point except to backtrack and re-load them, or damage-boost. So, I guess I won't be doing that again.

I'll play the other levels posted here next time I fire the WiiU up.

Here is a level I made that doesn't completely suck:

Potatoes for Lunch: B430-0000-0045-BF8A

Those SMW Goombas have never really been goombas because they don't squish when you jump on them. So I always call them Potatomen.

I've found that its really hard to make levels that are fun and memorable. I'm making good levels technically, but few of them are actually so fun that you'd want to play it a second time. Gonna keep working at it.

I'm very glad that the stage lengths are kept short. The nature of Mario Maker and it's online play means that the shorter your stages are, the better it is. Since there are so many other levels to get out there and play.
Perilous Pipe Pit
4340-0000-004B-AB4A

Made this before I had all the assets, so it's pretty generic. I want to do more with pipes soon.
Ooooh oooh, I got levels! >8D

Medium Difficulty: Ghost House
C171-000-0045-9BC3

Medium Difficulty: Overworld
6340-0000-001E-FAE3

Easy/Medium Difficulty: Underwater
ACAB-0000-001A-28EE

High Difficulty: Ghost House
30EE-0000-0019-DF0A

Medium Difficulty: Airship
9427-0000-0015-6C85

Easy Difficulty: Underwater (My most played for some reason...)
44EB-0000-0013-FE06

Hard Difficult: Castle
499D-0000-001B-5818

Medium Difficulty: Underground (Very short.)
41A3-0000-0012-C294

PLEASE star some of them, I'm soo close to having 50 stars that I want to make more levels. :3
Updated the OP with everyone's levels so far, might do only a max of 4 for now since you can easily look up the author of the level for more. Will probably spoiler when the list gets super big.

Here's a level I made that I really liked working on and had fun replaying, pretty RPG Maker-esque as far as Mario Maker levels go:
Marzilla Visits Goomba City

Actually the levels can be fairly long if you make use of the sub area with warp pipes. But it really does suck that there are no checkpoints. There are some great traditional levels that drag on a little too much, and pretty much cements that this game is about sharing portions of gameplay rather than full games. Which is cool, took me awhile to realize that.

Yeah I starred some of yours, I also starred everyone in the thread. So if anyone returns the favor that'd be cool.
Finally made an updated pipe themed course:

You want Nintendo to stop being weird about the internet? Good luck.
I miss the days of being able to rent games. This sounds like a fun thing to try out for a while that would become less fun after a weekend of playing.

I've had a little bit of inspiration block on actually putting stuff together after I got this on Friday but here is my first course I made! I saw Pizza already played it (but didn't star it how dare you!? jk)
Paper Mario Maker
ED9D-0000-0062-2961

My first try at a more gimmicky course.

Finished a couple more. I think they're pretty good!

  • Gotta Getta The Star: A4F9-0000-0064-BED7
  • Hunt For the Yellow Blocktober: 6C73-0000-0064-AA0E
  • Chocolate Remix (Spinies): 69AF-0000-0064-3D25

So far, I've only tried Pizza's first level and have yet to finish it. I'll give everyone else's stages a shot when I have some time.
I'm curious, do you need to use the Gamepad to design levels, or are you able to look exclusively at the TV if you wish to?

You could just look at the TV, but you'd be (mostly) blind as to what you were actually touching with the stylus. I don't think you can use a Wii Remote or anything to design levels- the entire game needs to use the gamepad.
I've made four levels and they all suck.

Easy Castle: 71AC-0000-0066-9128. A pretty easy Mario 1 Castle. Made with the five minutes I needed to unlock the Mario 3 stuff. :P
Generic Underwater: CO78-0000-0062-1303. It's Underwater and Generic! Though I think the last part is pretty fun, heh.
Springs 'n Things: 4F78-0000-005B-47A3. Okay, got a little more creative with this one. Use springs to get to higher places!
Little or Big Challenge(name not related to certain other level building franchise...): A77C-0000-0012-E6AC. My first and most challenging level. There are multiple paths to take through the level, all depending on whether or not you can grab and keep the single Mushroom power-up.

I'll be sure to play some you guys' levels! :D
I'm pretty obsessed with this game so far. Here's a few I made:

Clownaruga 1-1 (Shmup level):
35DB-0000-006D-B953

The ultimate challenge...

Waluigi's Gauntlet:
A135-0000-0072-6603
Added some levels to the list and made a hide tag for it, I might cut down on levels if the list gets too big (10 max per person maybe) deleting older ones. If anyone has favs or best levels they want to keep on there just ask. Really it's just better to punch in one level code and then click on the author icon for more, but there are some throw away levels on my profile I wouldn't rec.

Thwomp Spin Pomp
3513-0000-005A-8955
A sort of fundamental teach the player to spin jump level, I don't think it's very successful since only 1 out of 12 people have beaten it. There's a faux checkpoint system in it though.

Mario Goes Digging
C20C-0000-0071-1F43
Somewhat puzzlely where digging in the wrong spot can screw you over, but I tried really hard to put in a lot of fail safes. Mostly just fun with bombs. Has the faux checkpoint system too.

Hammer Skyfall

3A74-0000-0071-44FA
A hammer bro level to make you like hammer bro levels, level is designed to give you advantages against them, so it doesn't have any smb1 8-3 nonsense.

Easy Castle, Generic Underwater, Springs 'n Things, Little or Big Challenge

Thought Easy Castle was a neat bite sized thing, same with Generic Underwater, though in underwater I commented on an amazing play experience. Springs n Things could have nerfed wall jumping a bit in some ways but I had fun fucking the rules. I did not like Little or Big Challenge as it felt too claustrophobic and low ceilings rarely work for a mario level unless done in spurts.

Clownaruga 1-1, Waluigi's Gauntlet

Didn't like Clownaruga at all, then again I don't like shmup levels in general since the enemy AI in this game doesn't lend well to patterns. Just feels like a mess. Waluigi's Gauntlet was a fun challenge at first but around the middle I gave up and didn't feel like pursuing it further.

Gotta Getta The Star, Hunt For the Yellow Blocktober: ,Chocolate Remix (Spinies)

Thought gotta get the star was a bit confusing when it actually involved 2 stars, I also don't like the idea of a star rush section involving methodical jumping. Did not like Blocktober, autoscrolling and "lost woods" underwater levels aren't my bag. Chocolate Remix is a bit weird, I can't tell if you were going for a gimmick or theme when it was just a mess of random enemy types and puzzles, just stick to like one thing, for instance a level with just spinies with the occasional pow switch would probably feel more cohesive.
