I wear a watch.

What I mean it, if you say "now" but since the forum clock doesn't match to my real life clock, "now" means absolutely nothing.

Better next time to say something like 3PM EST.

So when I say "An hour and a half ago your time" what you do is you look at your watch, count back an hour and a half, record THAT time, and remember that as the time to be
here on Thursday! Voila!

You're not making any sense. Because I would have to be looking at my watch at exactly the time you posted.

I'm sure you realize we're on at roughly the same time. Come on now. There's hardly any difference between our posting times at the moment!

You should be able to tell roughly when each post was made by looking at your watch, comparing times, and counting back.

I have no idea what time it is in EST at the moment. But I can tell you what time it is HERE and when people posted according to MY watch. That wont necessarily help someone across the world from me.

Simple deduction is all it takes.

Say, you make a post saying "this time." I see your post 3-4 hours after you post it. The clock on your post is not accurate compared to my actual time. Thus, "this time" has no meaning to me.

Look at the time it was posted, look at your recent post, calculate the time difference!

Say it was posted at 2pm according to the site, and now it is 4pm according to the site.
Two hours have passed. Your watch says 6pm now. 6pm = 4pm / 4pm = 2pm! You'd show up at 4pm your time.

Thus I wouldn't be able to tell unless I made a brand new post! So you want to create a bunch of useless posts just for checking the time? (What if I forget after I figure out what it is? Make another useless post?)

Seriously, this is a pretty unorganized event. I mean seriously, you can take the time to organize it to avoid confusion instead of just posting "this time minus 2-3 hours at tomorrow!"

Not to ruin all this for you, but the clocks on this forum are screwy. Just the other day I found a TIME WARP where the posts were posted before the after and yeah. Huh?

Can you please at least list what time zone YOU are in? I just want to make sure I can make this thing.

EDIT: Also, adding to euphorian's post (who snuck in there before me) the forum clock doesn't really help at all. For instance, if you say it starts at three on thursday, but we don't know the time zone, how can we figure out when "Three" is? I mean, if you posted "START", then that would work, but we wouldn't know when to check for that post, and some of us can't check every hour. Hopefully what I am saying is actually making sense.

K, I didn't read the start of the argument before that edit. HERE IS THE PROBLEM: Forum time is different for everyone (from what I can see.) Either that, or I am in the exact same time zone as the server. But I am pretty sure users can change their time zones (again, not quite sure, but I think so...)

I would like it if we could change it to 12 GMT. I will otherwise miss more than an hour of the event. Also, for any of you going "Oh shit, I can't be late, how will I know what time to get on:

TIME ZONE DIFFERENCES

Just find your country, then the time zone you are in, and then add your GMT to 11 (or twelve if I get the change I am looking for) and voila. Thus, for me, I am in the Canadian pacific time zone, so, 11 +(-8) = 3

so I would go on at 3 pm.

Hopefully this clears everything up.
