CloseWIP, it is very fun to play, just not from a gameplay point of view(I realize just how stupid that sounds). Lots of people have played it and enjoyed it, so if that isn't valid I don't know what is.
I'm guessing that WIP has the same issue he does, in principle, that he did with BlindMinds project.
I remember when getting your game featured used to mean something. I am glad that RMN has taken up the "everybody gets a gold star" attitude that has destroyed various artistic communities over the last decade..
I would have really rather Alter AILA stayed up there longer. I'm playing through it right now and it seriously is a stellar game. Legendary Legend just doesn't have what it takes to follow that act.

yeah, it's pretty disgusting that a game that has a large amount of effort and quality is followed up by "legendary legends"

When I logged on RMN this afternoon, the transition from that game to this one was actually mentally jarring.

How many of you have actually played Legendary Legend?
Doesn't matter, the gameplay is practically the Achilles' heel of this. The magic is in the writing, which makes me wonder why this wasn't made a webcomic or novel instead. Both reviews for it say the gameplay is barely passable.
Even more funny is Solitayre's review title even SAYS "A great webcomic that happens to be in game form". So it should be on Comic Genesis or DrunkDuck instead of RMN, I guess?

God, are we really going against those piles of threads asking what makes something fun where we again and again come to the pointless conclusion that things we enjoy are fun? It DOES matter if you have played it, because it is a legitimate game. It's not flawless, but neither was ALTER AILA, which I played and did not enjoy as much as Legendary Legend. To say this game doesn't deserve to be featured just because you don't like it(or, as it seems, don't like what you've seen/heard, even though the gamepage consists of positive comments and 4 star reviews) is just plain stupid.

thanks for that shoutout, but if the featured game is to be determined by gameplay, that's not the game to do it with! (:
if you've played eyes without a face, there's not a whole lot of gameplay to be had. yeah, it's pretty, but i wouldn't give it a feature were i choosing such things based on gameplay experience.

Is it visuals? Maybe not since the quality differs.
Game play? Donno here since I haven't played them all.
Rating? Well, if it is above 3 perhaps.
Download count? It could have been the case until I saw a few.
Hype? Donno about this one either.

All other event winners have been featured haven't they?
While I don't doubt Legendary Legends is a fun game, I fear that outside users may get the (correct) impression that RMN is all about a bunch of "my RTP adventure"s.
