Usually it all comes down to bias vs. objectivity, and it seemed your Quintessence review was mostly objective. I couldn't guarantee my results would be any different. And, of course, I already have my own review thread to worry about.
As I've explained to WIP I think the best thing RMN can do is have at least one other official reviewer on staff whose tastes are different than mine.

Rather because he got an honest review that will likely deter people from playing his game, even though it's featured. It's like putting up a billboard that says "DON'T PLAY THIS!"Oh, no worries. It's a perfectly honest and decent review, and most of those turned away reading it would've probably turned away playing the game anyway, heheh.

Nobody seems to be freaking out about the fact that this is an original, reasonably well-written RPG with creative mechanics that basically came out of nowhere. It's like if Hero's Realm was released all at once in its current version and nobody cared!
I mean, The Reconstruction maybe isn't the best RPG Maker game of the year but it's very possibly one of the most interesting. It's remarkably free of pretention as well, which is a nice change from most JRPGs out there, and not just ones made with RPG Maker.

Hey, the game was released here and we picked up on it immediately and made it a featured game! I think that's pretty good.
I also know that Craze nominated it for POTM at a few other places. It's getting noticed, and it's picking up steam. You just have to remember that RM sites in general are creation-centric so a game is much more popular if the community is involved in its development (even if it is nothing more than regular screenshots in a screenshot topic). Games dropping in from nowhere have a hard time cracking that shell.
