LET'S PLAY: THE WAY!

The other day I got a serious case of nostalgia, did some surfing around and came across this guy called Malefact who was doing a Let's Play series of videos on The Way. I thought you guys would be interested (note: this guy actually speaks pretty well but his reading of the game script does get annoying sometimes)
I've seen a couple of episodes of this and it's actually pretty good! Not quite as good as Let's Play La Mulana, but it's still nice to revisit the Videogames of your Youth on Youtube. It also helps you appreciate exactly how much foreshadowing there was in the earlier episodes.
Also Malefact does speak pretty well.

Oh wow, I've been following this since the start and I've watched every single one so far. I never bothered playing The Way so I was going in this totally unaware of how great The Way is. I love his commentary and his impressions of some characters have me in stitches, especially in the most recent ones.
The video is rather well made, though the guy's reading sounds a bit labored at times. Made me dig out my old copy of The Way and start getting a nostalgia hit though.
Its an awesome game, and deserves to be fondly remembered as an RM classic.

I skimmed around, and got about as far as when you started reading the dialogue out loud. Sorry.
I actually watched it and couldn't stand his citing of the dialouges but watch his Let's Play of Tower of the Sorcerer which was really entertaining at times.
I'd say it's high time we got an RPGmaker Let's Play. It's just a shame that it's always The Way that gets all the attention.
I've been watching the videos. Malefact's reading style doesn't bother me, I'd probably do the same thing.
I've never played all through The Way...maybe up to the end of the first episode, I don't remember. I always knew it was a great game, but never from personal experience. These videos have opened me up to that.

I'd only ever played the first episode, but the videos have got me intrigued... so I'm already half-way through the second. (Restarted today) ^.^
So far so good, though I keep thinking something will be said by such and such, only to remember that it was said in the videos. XP

author=ARCduke16 link=topic=3638.msg73223#msg73223 date=1241311894I don't think The Way gets enough attention these days, actually! People who are always on about originality and "custom"-ness should take a good look at the series and realise there is more to a game than that.

EDIT: I meant originality in terms of graphics before you yell at me
author=ARCduke16 link=topic=3638.msg73223#msg73223 date=1241311894I've been planning on doing a LP of A Blurred Line for a long time, but school has gotten in the way. That's what I get for being a music major.

I'd also like to mention that there's a decent LP of Phantasia Remake on YouTube right now. I did do a part, but when I found out someone else was doing it, I dropped it. That and the fact that apparently I didn't have the latest version and since someone was already doing it with the most up-to-date one...
There are a few RM games I would like to do a Let's Play off. Of course, my commentary will be awesome.
...or retarded, I'm not sure which.

Watched the intro and strongly agree with Malefact, the author's, intent of exposing this game to a larger audience. I would rather re-play The Way (I never finished it) then watch this, though. This is more like a DVD commentary then a Let's Play, this guy does have a very nice speaking voice, but I wish it was Lun doing it.
Oh, and I hope someone (with as nice of a speaking voice) does one of these of one of my games some day, but it's probably self delusion for me to imagine I'm even on the same stage as The Way.
