Why did a game from 2009 win in 2010?
These awards are flawwed too.
There should be:

and so on.

No there shouldn't. People shouldn't give a shit what a game was made with.

Yes they should. Just like awards are given out for X-Box, Wii, PC, Playstation, DS and so on.
Engine means nothing. gameplay is what matters.

That's an entire different dynamic. Namely because owning one system is often mutually exclusive with owning another; it's a monetary investment. However a regular person who has the option to play the game for free with the exact same opportunity regardless of what maker it was made it should not give a flying fuck what maker it is.
I mean that's one reason out of a few hundred of why you're wrong.

So does that mean they should have awards for "Best Steam Game", "Best Games for Windows Game", etc? They are all PC games. With RPG Maker, you are making a PC game.

More like Best Unreal Engine Game, Best Source Engine Game, Best CryEngine Game. I have no doubt that happens though... Somewhere...
Giving vacant sky a try. Rhyme intended.
If there were awards for different engines, then maybe there would be more diversity.

not much in all honesty.
I never heard about it until now. The opening is fantastic and mode 7 is easy to see why it would win. Then I got to play the game. Its not for me.
author=maiaThe game is good for about half an hour, then things go quickly downhill.

AAG didn't win anything, ergo this is clearly wrong.
