DEMO 2013 RELEASED: May 14, 2013

CURRENT STATUS: Actively in progress.

It's been 11 years since the final battle between the Paladin's Guild and the Black Mages. Both sides have suffered immense casualties, but both sides have been rebuilding in the past several years, and have been largely avoiding each other. Things seem to be totally at peace for the first time in a very long while.

However, things are not always what they seem. Deep in another world, an enigmatic entity has been watching, waiting; biding his time until he can make his move to conquer our realm, and add to his eternally expanding domain. Unfortunately for our world, that time is fast approaching.

Now, old allies meet new friends - and enemies - as they work to restore a once-again shattered balance, and preserve our very way of life. A war is brewing, but this time, the Rhukaat isn't the weapon... it's the key.

Release strategy revealed!

Hi guys! Long time no type.

I'm here today to announce my plan for releasing Rhukaat II. I've decided to release the game in increments - meaning that since the game is divided into 5 acts, I'll release a version of the game once each act is done. Each release will span the very beginning of the game up until the end of whatever the most recently finished act is. I'm hoping that save games will follow a plug-and-play model in terms of version updating since nothing else will change from version to version with regards to core mechanics, but I'm not sure.

My reasoning for this model of release is that since progress long-term has been slow, I'd rather have releases more often to keep interest in the final product up, rather than stretch it over a longer period of time and get less done. Plus, I think this would be a good motivator for me to actually hunker down and work more seriously on it.

I'd love to hear any feedback that you guys have on this, and as always, I appreciate the support. Thanks for reading!
