My review of Demondestinys game.. Demon Destiny. :P
*SPOILER ALERT*

Demon Destiny tells you the story of Sazuka, an aspiring swordsman who wants to see the world. Sazuka has trained with his grandfather all his life but in just one day his whole life is changed and he is told his true destiny and that is to defeat the evil demon lord Vekasoul, with the help of his sister Iris, and others he meets on the way as you venture across the world.

Story
The game displayed some cliched elements that I'm honestly not too crazy about. Furthermore, the game was paced at a terribly fast tempo. About 5 minutes into the game you find out your grandfather dies, you release the immortal demon Vekasoul and get told you are the worlds only hope.. yes in the first 5 minutes!

Anyways as you progress through the game you keep getting told over and over "You are DESTINED to defeat Vekasoul" and it seems quite redundant after awhile. Of course, there's little plot twists that appear in the game, but I don't want to spoil too much about for anyone who reads this ;) . There is certainly potential here, especially considering that it is this author's first game, but as it stands now the story aspect of Demon Destiny needs some work.

(An intense cutscene from DD! DD ALWAYS use a capital "I")

Graphics
Well he has the right tiles but they all clash with each other and just aren't that well used. He uses Refmap, Tales of Phantasia, Rudra, and RTP styles ALL together in one package along with some unorthodox mapping and it truly makes for one.. interesting looking game. Of course demondestiny is not the first person to do this, to mesh all of these unique styles together, but for me consistency is something I take into consideration.

Demon Destiny's mapping, although acceptable, could obviously be better. Varying the structure of the maps, paying a bit of attention to detail, and intense studying of the tried and tested techniques of more professional mappers can definitely add more quality to this aspect of the game. There are a few priority issues throughout the game, like character sets standing over objects, not being able to walk behind trees that sorta thing. Overall, the graphical element to this game is pretty standard, but still has much room for improvement.

(Your interior mapping lacks structure, see my interior beside yours, it's just to open and seems to have no walls/restrictions what so ever)

Gameplay/systems
Demon Destiny missed the mark in terms of gameplay. each battle just seemed like a spacebar mashing free-for-all, and the enemy difficulty was really easy, not once did I cure myself. Furthermore, I didn't actually see any point to having that CMS seeing as it pretty much had the same functions the default menu system has. All the features of this game that should have been put into the CMS, such as the skill trees, were moved to a separate function, making the systems hard to work with.

Gameplay, as I said wasn't that great, the only thing I did in maybe 5-10 minutes of the game was a training fight and when I did get a chance to finally move my character, it was just until I move to the next map. I thought the game had a bit too many cutscenes in your game, and the author always made the characters walk right up to the heroes and basically just got in their faces, a little variety wouldn't hurt here.

In conclusion, if you have a few hours to spare then at least try this, it needs a LOT of improvement, but seeing as it's a first game I wouldn't expect much.

ugh why is the average 2.5 now
It was nice when anybody could rate a game.
No DD was like 3.5 back then.

To be fair it was more in consideration of being respectful then the overall opinion I have for this game. I would rather give this .5 at best.
