You have been condemned to the "Dead Space." Want to get out...? Then how about we make a little deal, hm? You make it safely to the end...and you're free to go. However...if you happen to find yourself dead a second time around, then it's off to Hell with you. Simple, no? Ah ha... Of course. I knew you'd see it my way.

In this installment in to the Boss Project series, you guide the recently deceased youth named Jason throughout the dreaded "Dead Space"--a culmination of various dimensions all crammed in to a single facility run by the mysterious Victor.

Victor has presented you with three choices: Make it to the end of the facility and be free; die and go to hell; or interfere and remain trapped in purgatory for all eternity.

As any soul would, Jason wishes to pass peacefully in to Heaven... but that's not as easy as it sounds. There are hordes of demented and twisted souls waiting to chop him down around every corner, with crazed individuals bent on otherworldly domination at his heels.

This trip to Heaven...is going to be a rough one.

Review from RRR!

Here's a nice review of Boss Project V written by Nighthawk282 of RRR (RPG RPG Revolutions forums).

I didn't think that this game would garner much attention, and... well, it didn't! Not as much as I'd hoped that it would, anyway. This is probably because of it being a part of the "Boss Project" series. I guess that my fault! I should have made it its own independent game rather than making it a part of one of my ongoing series. It probably would have made a whole lot more sense, too, seeing as how its not REALLY a boss-gauntlet, but rather a fairly short dungeon crawler.

Anyway, it still looks as though people are enjoying it, and that is enough for me! Enjoy the review!

Yus. Awesomesauce. I hope you all like it more than the 4th game. =O
Well yeah, I liked IV, too, it's just that I'm aiming to make this one better. Hopefully better in EVERY way, too.
It is finished. I just need to test play it a bit and, when I finally obtain my high-speed, go and upload it to the site.
I will download this immediately
Oh ho ho ho. When it is actually released, good sir! We can't have you going in to the future now, can we?

156 MB? Is there no way for you to lower that size? That's a monster of a download.
I will just go and say what i did over at GW:

"Because it is filled with MP3's and the like. I removed a lot of my unused songs (or all of the ones I did not think that i was using), and that reduced the size a good bit. But it is up to the downloader to decide on whether or not they want to try their luck at it. It is not all THAT big, but if you have a severely slow connection or something like that, then I would advise that you don't do it, because the game is relatively short and not some 30-hour epic."

So yeah, only do it if you really want to! Ha ha. That is all that I can say.

150 MB is big? In this day and age? Come on.

I'll actually give it a try; hope it's better balanced than its predecessor.
I just began to play, and I love what I saw so far. (didn't even reach the first boss! :P) The music is maybe a bit loud, but as the soundtracks are good, it's not such a problem.
Just a detail: maybe a short tutorial could be useful. For example, what are those "vials" that some enemies use to drop sometimes? I can't see them in my inventory.
Also the description of the weapons are a bit obscure to me... ("Inv"?)

I didn't play the previous "Boss project" games, maybe it's the reason why I need a bit of information . Or, more probably, I'm just too dumb to figure it out by myself... :P )
Anyway, a quick tutorial wouldn't hurt,
Thank you for the download! Hua ha. Don't worry, you will be quick to catch on to what everything is and what it all does. It is all fairly simple, really. Nothing too far from the basic battle system.

Inv. means to Invoke a spell. For example: If the item has "Inv. MP Poison" you can use the item/weapon in battle from the items menu to cast that spell. That's basically it.

The vials should be there! They're use for in-battle purposes and cast negative status effects when used.
It's a bit weird if it's intended, but the cutscene with the skeleton that disappears in a puff of skull-shaped smoke can be triggered over and over. Also, those "real" pictures are a bit disturbing. :(
Really? Crap. And so it can. Oh well, there isn't much of a need to go back that way, anyway. I can not believe that I missed it! Buaaaah. I think that it is the only thing I missed, though. I was running all over the place in the later half of the game.

Also, disturbing images are sometimes nice. Oh ho ho. But these ones were the best I could find (for what i was going for =/) so I used them. They're not what I would call "quality" after importing them in to RM2K3.
Ah, you're right, the vials are there, but I can see them only during battles. Otherwise, I have to highlight them because they are almost invisible. (written very dark red on a black background.) The same goes for the spells, by the way. Maybe the font could be a bit less dark in a future version? (or game?)
Thanks for the explanations!
Not a problem. I am hoping that you will be able to complete the game, but if not that is still not a problem. Just as long as you check back when you get a decent amount of playing in and tell me of your experience!
