..:: GENERICA ::..
..:: THE NEXT GENERATION ::..

..:: OVERVIEW ::..

Welcome to Generica: The Next Generation! Another RM2k3 RPG that will be created in a short timeframe, Generica: The Next Generation will follow the story of the new generation of heroes as they hunt down the heathen vessel meant to resurrect the fallen Slayer King.

33 years after the demise of the Slayer King and the events of Generica, a Cardinal in the southern continent of Southica is convinced a plan is afoot to resurrect the evil theron. He has secretly trained a new group of heroes to seek out and destroy the heathen vessel meant to revive the Lord of Destruction.

In a world still sickened by the wars and bloodshed and tyranny of the defeated Slayer King, our heroes must pursue the vessel and its mysterious guardian through valleys, across wastelands and over mountains and stop the resurrection at all costs. Fierce elementals, perilous caves, and dangerous assassins stand in their way as humanity and the New Religion strive to survive in a dying world.

..:: NOTES ::..

Now that all my other projects are complete I can devote whatever small amounts of free time to this project. This will be a short RPG like the original Generica.

Valedictory Game Drive Edition

I uploaded a demo of this game for the Valedictory Game Drive event. I was really hoping to get this game done by then, but just didn't commit enough time to it (I found myself busy with work, and also ended up spending 2 weeks of the game drive finishing up Mario vs. the Moon Base instead).

Anywho, the demo is up.

It is about 50% finished. You can play up until the point you cross the mountains and get to Lashburn (so save before you enter the castle).

BONUS
When you start a new game, you can opt to play Generica: TNG using the original 8 classes from Generica. On the character select screen, move your cursor straight up to toggle the class select options (you will 'warp' to the new select page). Move back up to toggle back. However, you cannot mix and match classes from Generica and G:TNG.

BONUS #2
When you start a new game, you can opt to play the original Generica. On the character select screen, move your cursor to the left to toggle between Generica and Generica: TNG. So you can opt to play the full original game with the new classes. The caterpillar script is not yet implemented for the maps in Generica. Also, I did not rebalance the original game (it needs it!).

Coming soon...
-the full game of G:TNG
-some sort of indicator for the game toggle (as described in bonus #2)
-the ability to take your party from Generica directly into G:TNG

IT'S MOST likely that YOUR SW SYNTH VOLume is sET tOO HIGH. OPEN YOUR SOUND CONTROL SETTINGs and check thE SLIDER FOR SW Synth (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Volume Control). LOWER THE SLIDER FOR SW SYNTH.
Kentona makes goods games.

@dexterdome: You should be posting this in the original Generica gamepage but anywho, here's what you do:

Spoiler, Highlight Text To Read Walkthrough:

-After leaving the Desert Oasis travel south across the desert.
-Make your way through the winding mountain pass to reach the southern coast (its starts a little to the left in the first valley)
-Travel across the bridges through the southern islands until you reach Kenaston
-In Kenaston the guards won't let you through to Corbenic Castle. That's okay because you want to go to the Tower of Hope
-Head to the western side of Kenaston and leave the town.
-Follow the coast and cross the bridges in the Swampy Islands
-At the very tip of the peninsula is the Tower of Hope. Ascend it and defeat the HopeEnder.
-Return to Kenaston with the Hope Key and enter the Crypt
-Now, the Crypt is a big dark maze. Bring torches. (I can post a screen of the map for you if you need it). At the end of the maze is the Fisher King.
-Defeat the Fisher King and take the Gladius Generica to Corbenic Castle and slay the Slayer King
-A peace of sorts...

Again, if you have any more questions about Generica, post it on it's own gamepage.

If I actually pull this off it will mean that I finished 4 full games this year (Hero's Realm, Generica, Hellion, Generica: TNG), plus Befuddle Quest 1, 2 and 3 and my 3 hour entry I Expect You To Die.

I guess we'll see.

Hay. I will eventually build a machine that fuses both BP and Generica together to make... the Generic Boss Project!

My god! It's genius! It would be the epitome of greatness, and a true work of art!
