Story:
QryCo's secret experiments and activities are becoming increasingly threatening. Most recently they have launched a secret attack on Beaunic, kidnapping one girl for reasons unknown and sending the rest of the town to some mysterious fate.
Chiba and his team set off to infiltrate QryCo and rescue the girl. In the meantime, Treves awakens in Beaunic to find that everybody's vanished, and vows to bring them back to town safely.
Features
The game features over 20 playable characters, each with a unique special ability. There are over 100 weapons and over 100 spells available to the characters, with plenty of secrets all over the place.
Game features that I inserted include:
-A world map item with a scrolling hero marker
-Game timer showing how long you've played
-A Game Journal item that reminds you what to do if you're lost
-Extra XP awarded when fewer than 4 active members are on the team (some XP is awarded to out-of-party members too)
Update to download file as of Dec 16, 2012:
-Apparently I thought I uploaded fixes for the stuff below, but I didn't. Please re-download the game if you can.
-Fixed a couple things that Seeric discovered. One was a more esoteric bug, but one was to reduce the chances that early-to-midgame monsters use full-party sleep and fear spells.
Update to download file as of Dec 3, 2012:
-All of the bosses in the game up through Megidona have been made somewhat easier. This effect was emphasized particularly for earlier bosses so that players don't run into the "Djinn/Ifreet speedbump."
-Playtester Seeric's watchful eye has found a couple non-critical bugs (artifacts of sloppier coding from when I was a beginner), and I've ironed those out.
Older updates:
-A rather annoying but non-critical bug regarding Treves's Charge attack was fixed, or at least fixed to my satisfaction.
-When you pick up Vivian and get the Limpopo shipment, you can still leave town going north instead of being forced to advance the plot south, where the enemies are comparatively brutal.
-A couple minor edits, the most significant of which is that the strength and reliability of summon spells has been greatly improved.
Background:
An update from an RPG2000 project completed in '03. This is our first RM2k game and is heavily reliant on the RTP. If you can get past that, you have access to a challenging adventure!
