Mine Sweeper more like Bugged Sweeper

Introduction

Mine Sweepers was created by Umbaglo and is a simulation game where you play as a mercenary leader who needs to hire, fire, and assign duties to various mercenaries in your employ. Sadly, this game is crippled by bugs and is basically unplayable in its current state.

Story

The game sets up a rather basic narrative about you being the leader of a small mercenary force and that you've been hired to find a team capable of clearing a nearby enchanted mine of its monster infestation. Of course, your work won't go unrewarded with you earning 25 percent of the profits earned from mining operations on the floors you've cleared.

Gameplay

There Mine Sweepers truly begins to fall apart is in its gameplay though. The game contains numerous bugs and all of them result in this game being an unplayable and most likely unbeatable mess of a game. One of the first issues you'll encounter is that you don't actually receive any money from clearing any of the floors in the mine. This is a major problem since it means you are unable to expand your team and thus improve your ability to deal with the monsters as they increase in power as you descend through the levels. Another bug that you'll notice rather quickly is that you don't actually pay any of your mercenaries their retaining fees. Though, I guess on the bright side this bug does work in your favor.

The final bug though that just kills this game is that you can get caught in an infinite loop where the game keeps telling you that your forces have done zero damage to a monster. This message just keeps popping up endlessly no matter how many times you try to forward past it.

Graphics

Graphically speaking the game is rather weak in my opinion. This is because the majority of the game is just looking at a simple black and white menu that is positioned underneath an empty black void.

Sound

If this game has sound its so underwhelming in terms of its presence that I actually forgot about it. Which is pretty amazing when you consider I was playing this game less than 60 minutes ago.

Conclusion

Mine Sweepers has to be one of the most heavily bugged games I've ever encountered on this site. As it stands I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone.

Huh, what do you know. There is a problem with the money calculator. You would have thought that someone would have mentioned that before in the past 9 years, but nope.
Yeah, it's amazing what people can overlook.
