I haven't updated in a little while (I think? :P) because I've just been quietly working away at it.

I just decided I shouldn't update as often because I have a solid reputation for being nutty about blogging. I like writing, ok?!

That aside I do have things to update with.

Firstly, the brilliant and compassionate Despite has offered to 'remaster' the MIDI tracks I was using for my game. NEVER FRET! He agreed to do a particular track which has been giving me hell in MIDI form, and so I was using a 6mb MP3 track in its place. The remastered tracks only get up to a maximum of 1mb as far as I know (Don't be Afraid is 500kb), so even with the replaced seven tracks, the file size will barely increase (and might even go down). Cool, eh?
(and yes they sound different to the originals .3.)

Other notes:

I'm going to begin writing a walkthrough/manual soon. The first chapter of the walkthrough will (pretty much) be the manual, except the character profiles won't be as detailed.

I've implemented a Battle Config option to the main menu. This effectively creates difficulty levels for CC's battles. The default is Semi-Active ATB, which means the system pauses when choosing skills or items. Wait means it pauses while selecting a target, while Full means it never pauses at all.

Full Active is like playing the game on Lunatic ._.

I've finished off all of Levi's limit break sprites, I just need to make the flashy effects. Here's a WIP of Lionheart:



(obviously not done :P) When Levi finishes slashing and backs off, he's actually yawning. The idea behind it was if Levi had voice acting he'd say something smartarsey before performing his finisher, so I made him yawn because that's like the ultimate insult.
