Ambrosia Brahmin
- A beggar who winds up in the streets of the opening town, she has been selected to be an Oracle, one who has strange and mystical powers to wield. She is adopted, and her true parents are not found out until much later in the story.
Special Abilities: Oracles, Predict (a Scan ability)

Nevras Fitzxembor
A swordsman who meets Ambrosia on her way. Nevras is actually nobility, although he seldom uses his title. The love interest of the story.
Special Abilities: Sword Art, Blossom (a multi-attack ability)

Elias
Met in the first temple, Elias provides a wise companion, who has the ability to read even the ancient language of tablets found in ruins and temples.
Special Abilities: White/Black magic, Alchemy, can learn other abilities by reading.

Aqorm Flowless
Aqorm is a half-elf who has turned to theft, to make ends meet. She seems obsessed with money and food, but is a loyal companion. Elias is always keeping watch on her.
Special Abilities: Steal, Geomancy (based on terrain)

Azrael Runesealer
An exorcist who joins the party. Concept design is based on Garth Nix's Abhorsens, complete with the bells. Her reason for joining is due to the fact that her job is to seal demons like Belial.
Special Abilities: White/Elemental magic, Binding (gets rid of ghosts, and sometimes keeps respawning enemies from coming back)

Anideshi
A Sage who joins your party as a companion in order to grant them passage in a monastery, then stays around. Has a special destiny, which allows her to reincarnate immediately when she dies.
Special Abilities: Elemental magic, Sage (learned later on, transforms into super mode, failure chance based on level)

Lilith
A demon (technically, a succubus) who joins your party, when Ambrosia's quest piques her interest. Michael doesn't really get along well with her, understandably.
Special Abilities: Black Magic, Hellfire (deals fire/dark damage, plus extra damage based on lost hp)

Archangel Michael
An angel who sealed the dreaded demon, Belial, with the help of Estheriel (anyone who got far in The New Earth should recognize this name, she eventually betrayed the other angels and became the villain of the series).
Special Abilities: True Names (Michael's magic is based on a password system, much like Treasure of the Rudras), Adaptive Levelling (gains hp/mp and stats much like characters in Romancing Saga, the more you use magic and closer you get to 0 MP, the more chance of increasing MP)

Yazim Jianne
The wizard trying to release the demon Belial. He is doing so not for power or other gain, but because the demon has promised to revive his wife (the length of time for a resurrection effect has passed, since she has been dead more than 10 years).
Special Abilities: Black/Elemental Magic, Convert (spends MP to restore HP)

Tamashii Brahmin
Ambrosia and Nevras's daughter, in the second part of the game. Tamashii is a Soulfire, which is the in-game way of saying an empath or Esper. She can use psychic powers based on her emotions. She's a bit of a brat actually, but has some of her mother's spunk and a desire for adventure.
Special Abilities: Psychic/Fire Magic, Empathy (heals party HP at the expense of her own)

Belial
The Big Bad of the first part of the game. A (so-called) evil demon sealed in a jar for millenia, mainly because after visiting town from another dimension, the villagers rather than accepting him, summoned angels on him. As a result, he got revenge shortly before being sealed up on all priests.

Estheriel
Not really a villain at all, just an overzealous angel, who was sick of watching human suffering because God wouldn't interfere with free will. She (he?) tries to take over rulership of existence by usurping Ambrosia's extra powers.

Sorry, I'm not an artist. They're pictures off the internet. I just tweaked them to show up on rpg2003's 256 color mode using irfanview.
You're going to have to grab some credits for them. Do some searches, see if you can dig up a few names.
Urgh. I'll just take down the pictures. I literally did just do a random search on google. Many of the pictures involved no longer appear to be there.

I'm leaving Ambrosia, because I found one place it might come from.

(Or one of several. It appears to have no author.)
