Updates and review request

It's been a while! I've been extremely busy lately as I'll be graduating (digital media) school in the next couple months and final projects are taking up the majority of my time.

Speaking of final projects, my dev team for school made it to the national finals of Microsoft's Imagine Cup! If you're a fan of Prophecy or World's Dawn, or just feel like helping out a member of the RM community, please vote for our game and help us win the coveted People's Choice Award. I'd truly appreciate it!
(Alternatively, you can text "Bloom" to 23000 -- or both!)

Onto more relevant updates. World's Dawn received an awesome "Pass or Fail" update by the generous Creation over in his thread. I'm pleased to say the game passed with flying colors! Definitely an interesting watch, and thanks so much to Creation! Here's a direct link to the review:

I should have a new demo video up as soon as I have a bit of time to edit it together, so be on the lookout for that.

Finally, the demo for World's Dawn came out months ago and hasn't received a written review! I would love some feedback in the form of an official review, so a star-rating shows up for the game and more people might find the demo. I would really really appreciate it from anyone who's tried the demo, or would be willing to give it a shot. Thanks!

Stay tuned for more...

The dawning of a deep new world

It's been a long time coming, but the World's Dawn demo has finally arrived! This is the main project I've been working on for close to a year, so I'm proud to say players can finally experience the game for themselves through this special teaser.

The "Guided Demo" includes original graphics and gameplay systems that will appear in the final product (scheduled for a 2011 release). I will personally guide you through the demo as Sagitar to ensure you get the most out of the contained features... I'll even let you know if you missed anything important upon completion! A single playthrough should take about one hour.

I purposely avoided including any unfinished features or systems in the demo. Houses with incomplete maps will be locked from the outside; characters missing facesets or dialogue are left out completely... So while it's clear this is not a finished product, the demo should show a fair amount of polish. I didn't want players to encounter any strange glitches or vacant locales in Sugar Blossom Village.

Once you play, do me a favor and leave your comments. Feedback is always welcome (either here or at the World's Dawn site, and player input is vital in helping the game grow.

A hearty thanks goes out to everyone who has offered their resources, wisdom, and support throughout this year-long process.

Enjoy the demo!

"LockBall" Demo Video

Hello to everyone again!

I recently posted a new World's Dawn demo video, so be sure to check it out. This video offers a first exciting look at the unique sport called "LockBall", which works as sort of a game-within-a-game and strives to add a bit of variety to the gameplay.

I would love to hear some feedback in regards to the video, as I've put quite a lot of effort into this sport :) Thanks for watching!

"Home Decor" Demo Video

Hey everyone,

I posted a new demo video of World's Dawn that shows how a player would go about buying and applying some carpet. (It's more interesting than it sounds!)

Check it out and let me know what you think! Feedback is always very much appreciated.

First Gameplay Trailer

I haven't been around much lately, and for that I apologize... but it doesn't mean I haven't been hard at work on World's Dawn, really!

I just posted the first gameplay trailer on the overview page. You can check it out here too, if you're lazy:

This trailer shows off several in-game activities as well as other features like character customization and the inventory system. This is the first video of the game in motion, so I'm really excited to hear what everyone thinks. Feedback is always appreciated in any form.

Thanks! I hope you like the trailer!
