The Engineer

"When the castle falls, all those inside will be put to the sword. Your herds will be butchered, your godswood will be felled, your keeps and towers will burn. I'll pull your walls down, and divert the Tumblestone over the ruins. By the time I'm done no man will ever know that a castle once stood here... Your wife may whelp before that.
You'll want your child, I expect. I'll send him to you when he's born.
With a trebuchet."

-Jaime Lannister

The Engineer is a highly educated scholar of war who is trained in the construction and operation of siege engines, massive and brutally efficient machines that are designed for destroying castle walls and battlements. Of course, these contraptions are also terrifyingly effective against mass infantry at any range. The in-game skills of Engineers represent "smaller" siege weapons like scorpions and trebuchet, with the larger end comprising small catapults and ballistae. While Engineers can also construct siege towers and battering rams, these devices will rarely if ever be within the scope of the actual game. If Arcanon are magical artillery, Engineers are the more traditional kind; slower, but more powerful.

A well-protected, well-positioned, supported and properly deployed Engineer, in full possession of his tools, is hands down the deadliest single unit in all of the Gray Lands. The trick, strategically, is keeping your Engineers alive long enough to launch their massive weapons and smash the enemies to bits.

VITAL STATISTICS
TYPE: Ranged .
Engineers are the most extreme iteration of the Ranged unit. They are slow and fragile but their abilities can potentially deal by far the most damage in the entire game. This makes them roughly equivalent to Summoners from FFT.
ATTRIBUTES:
Hit Points: Normal (1x)
Power Points: Mundane (0x)
Strength: Fair (1.25x)
Constitution: Normal (1x)
Intelligence: Fair (1.25x)
Dexterity: Fair (1.25x)
EXAMPLE SKILLS
As a rule, engineer skills are extremely powerful but slow, and carefully regulated by both lengthy cooldown times and limited ammunition (uses) per battle. The damage of engineer skills is influenced somewhat by Strength and Dexterity, and a GREAT DEAL by random chance.
Scorpion: A "miniature" ballista or a giant, stationary crossbow, the scorpion straddles the line between sniper weapon and siege engine. Does good piercing damage to one unit. Four uses per battle with a one-turn cooldown. 98% Accurate and relatively fast by Engineer standards. <Free Starting Skill>
Cauldron of Pitch: Use a trebuchet (for game purposes, a miniature catapult) to douse enemies in flammable oil. Inflicts the "Oil" status (double damage from Fire) on three random enemies. 95% Accurate, with a one-turn cooldown. <Cost: 250 JP>
Incendiary Shot: Launch a flaming barrel with a Trebuchet to deal decent fire damage to two units. 85% accurate. As you can imagine, combos nicely with Cauldron of Pitch. Two-turn cooldown, two uses per battle. <Cost: 250 JP>
Chain Shot: Launch a weighted chain with a trebuchet to trip/entangle three random enemies. Moderate bashing damage, two uses per battle, two-turn cooldown, can inflict "Dazed" and "Slowed". <Cost: 500 JP>
PROFICIENCIES:
Weapons: Crossbows, Firearms. (Engineers are the only class that can use Firearms.)
Armor: Leather and chain. Hats and light helms. Robes, hats, hoods, and bucklers.
