Chrono Trigger 2: Time's Eclipse is a fan-sequel to Chrono Trigger, and the official sequel to Chrono Alter. The game will take place four years after the end of Alter.
This game has a lot to do with Chrono Trigger: Crimson Echoes. In fact, this is an adaptation of CT:CE to be a CAlter sequel. I have obtained permission from Zeality to go ahead with the project. Please note, this is not a remake. It's an adaptation.
Plot Intro
"Four years after the defeat of the Dream Devourer, Crono, Marle, and Lucca find that their lives have drastically changed. Lucca has adopted a baby girl she found in the woods, and is embracing Motherhood while she works on re-creating a 'Time Egg', the item that brought Crono back to life. Crono and Marle are preparing themselves for the throne.
During this time, the nations of Guardia and Porre begin to have multiple disagreements. King Guardia grows uneasy, as Porre has gathered a powerful army. Nobody knows how such as small nation has risen to power, and Crono begins to suspect an old enemy is at work in his time..."

Ha ha. This probably won't be out for a good year or two. I actually have a good sized team with me this time around, so that should speed up production.

Thanks. The goal of this game is to challenge myself as a developer and a leader, and to bring a conclusion to the Chrono Trigger saga. I really hope this game turns out much better than my other titles.

I should hope that you plan on compressing your Mp3s, as to keep from having a 100+ MB game.
There is a hack for RPG Maker 2003 that allows the use of .ogg files in your project. I would highly recommend tracking it down if you're considering using anything other than midi files.

I do actually have the original Crimson Echoes being remade and extended. It's not a rewrite like Chrono Echoes will be, but I feel recreating the original game and building on to it is good. CE was C&D'd because it was a hack of SE's property. My remake will be done in C++ using a Lua scripting engine.
I haven't worked on it lately, but it's certainly something to look forward to. Seeing as it's C++ and not RPG Maker, though, it might take a while. Even after release, there's likely to be bugfixes that'll be pushed out.

I doubt it. When the C&D struck, another Chrono game of mine was on the Chrono Compendium. It was not under the list of projects to be removed.

The link to the download doesn't appear to be working. When I click on it, I get a pop up with an option to "Find" verses the traditional run or open.
