It would actually be really nice to have friendly monsters, so hopefully that book is legit. Nice looking map :3 I can't really tell what it's supposed to be though. A library?

Yes, it is a library. And yes there are friendly monsters. It is actually a sidequest that you can partake in for the Battle Arena. You find friendly monsters in the wild, feed them food until they join you and then you visit them in the battle arena, feed them, care for them, grow their stats and levels and compete them in pitched, bloody battles in the arena for rare items and loot! So brutal. lol
