Is it set as Same as Characters? It should be.

Yeah, the main player is infront, but the Caterpiller chars appear behind...

Ah. That's a problem with the initial caterpillar script, as it does not create events as the following party members, so they aren't same as characters, which causes all events to be above them (Including NPCs).

I don't think so. You'll just have to deal with it sadly, or just remove the script completely.
