Episode 1 - Exiled
Story
"It is a dark time for the land of Xenith.
The conflict between Vampire and Werewolf
that has raged on for more than millennia has finally spilt over involving humans.
Those who are caught within its wake suffer its consequences, as the innocent are killed or worse, turned to aid either side.
Although this tragedy plagues the people, an even greater threat has risen.
The demonic being known solely as Estro, threatens the land by building a Hell Gate to bring forth
his demonic brethren to conquer all.
All seemed lost until a ancient prophecy was discovered, foretelling of these events. That a being will come forth and stop Estro and his demonic horde, and bring forth light once again to the land. Searching desperately, whether for good or to destroy them, the search led to one boy, a Vampire Hunter..."
Due to the negative comments on my previously released demo, I decided to go back and work on this, feeling I could make it better. I have actually went back and reworked the title, dialogue, and tweaked/fixed a lot of known bugs, and polished the maps. Looking back I greatly improved on a lot of my skills especially with mapping, using variables and common events. I am quite proud of my progress on my skills improving, although I know I still got a long way to go. Anyway that's enough rambling on to the features.
Features hopefully to Include in the game:
Reputation/Alignment System - Where whether your good or evil will change the way NPC's interact with you and possibility the ending.
Action Battle System - Control your attacks, which will include magik and Bows/Crossbows.
Vampire Feed System - Hey your a vampire and you like need to eat. Hunt your prey and avoid getting caught...choose to kill or let them live which will alter your alignment accordingly. Or you can be a bitch and buy vials of blood O_o which does nothing.
Soul Absorption - Certain bosses after you defeat them, you have the choice whether or not to absorb a special ability they may have. which could also modify your alignment (though not 100% i want to add this yet)
Quest System - Complete side quests to obtain extra exp and rewards!
Puzzles - complete puzzles to obtain items and progress through the game.
Plugins/Patches used or being planned for use for game development/enhancement:
DynRPG Plugins: particle effects and A* path-finding.
Goliath overdrive patch
A lot of the terminology/history/lore is taken from the Vampire - masquerade/bloodlines and soul revear pc/ps2 games with my own added twist used in my forum rpg.
That is pretty much it right now, I have a full production log since July posted here: " http://fallenlegends.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Advertising ". As this was mainly being developed for my members of my forum rpg. The board is dead, but I mainly post there as quite a few old members go there to see how I am coming along in this project. I will probably post both here on RMN.
