The story so far...

Act 1: The Gathering

Fifty years after the defeat of the tyrant god, Set, the world of Rie rests in a state of idle peace. However, things are not as peaceful as they seem. A man who calls himself the Master of Souls has made a bargain with a demon lord Eivion - one thousand human souls in exchange for demonic immortality and overwhelming power. This prophecy has set itself in motion, ticking down soul by soul. Now the end is near. And where are the only six people in the world who have the capability to stop the Master of Souls before the world is lost forever? They are each being slowly lured to the CIty of Tar' Jahri, where they will be gathered together unaware of their fates.

Join Aeon and his allies and enemies as they head toward Tar' Jahri, with one question tugging on the back of their minds

Who or what is the Master of Souls?

Act 2: The Suffering

The Master of Souls has begun to capture the world of Rie. Slowly, but surely, the great nations of the world have fallen to him: The frozen kingdom of Ineldal; the Faerie Land of Lenria, the desert city of Septia, and the jungles of Tar' Jahri have all been destroyed, now all that stands in his path to destroy the Gods themselves is the capital city of Pendonia. And where are the heroes who are destined to stop him? They are desperately searching for an escape from the underworld.

Help Aeon and his band of adventurers escape from the underworld, even when faced with terrible perils such as a plague of Basalisks, a cursed orb of power, and an ancient sorcerer, bent on destroying mortals.

Act 3: The Ending
After an impossible escape from their prison, Aeon and his allies return to the surface world only to find their homes in ruin. Thrusen's devastating war has consumed nearly all the kingdoms of Rie leaving a small rebel army in Pendonia. The time has come for the chosen ones to start fighting back. Will the heroes free the world's kingdoms and topple this dictator, or will the world fall to darkness in his evil grip?

Play as Aeon, Lidya, Christina, and many others in the final chapter of their adventure as they fight against the world itself to liberate millions of innocent people. But just what is the Master of Souls' final plan? And is it too late to stop him?

The Real Release

So, for real this time: let's talk about the full game.
Due to a couple of factors the game obviously was not in shape for release four months ago. It was a combination of a busy life, lots of bugs, testers having difficulty, and my lack of internet connection. But that's behind us now!
Fortunately, we've been able to exceed the release date (October), and instead are releasing the third and final act of the Master of Souls now!
As I mentioned before in the other blog, the game consists (all three acts in total) of a solid 20-30 hours of gameplay, 50+ quests, and 11 playable characters (not all at the same time). The final act will likely be released sometime today or tomorrow.
One last little tidbit of food for thought, because of all of the recent trouble with the game some of the areas were tested less vigorously than others. This means that essentially at the end of the game, expect a few more bugs. I doubt there will be too many, but if you find a bug PLEASE post it here on this blog. I'll deal with it as soon as I can.

Some final words? I guess I'd like to just thank the community here for all of the support and understanding that I've received over the course of this ridiculously long project. RMN really is a great place and a great community. As always, I hope that you all enjoy the game!

Everguard, I just finished the game, played both endings, kinda disappointed about ending though, both of them sad. But I chose that ending where Aeon got alive. In overall game is awesome, I enjoyed playing it again from start. Thanks for all your hard work! :)
also my question for u, am just curious, in topic of Fallen wings game u said that is first game of Everguard Saga. What else this saga will contains?
Fanatik: There are actually three endings :) You played the sadder two. There's a miniquest earlier in the game that has to be completed in order to get the happy ending
Hint, its in Lenria!

The Everguard Saga was kind of a loose idea, but I'm actually in the process of making the next game now. The idea is that they all take place in the same world, and some of the future ones revolve around the Master of Souls as well, but not directly.
I'm glad that you enjoyed the game!

if you're talking about crown quest, I cannot find that crown anywhere in Lenria village, not in the mines area too.

are you taking about putting the crown on fairy queen statue
if so did that so does that mean i got the good ending if so its still sad but deep in a way there was no happy ending there
No :) The quest I'm talking about is the Faerie Diadem quest. If you complete the quest and obtain the faerie stone than you will see the good ending, assuming
that you choose for Aeon to fight Thrusen :)
ok i got the faerie diadem quest
i am guessing the diadem is in the magic school in Septia but i can't find student for the school to get in i look in all the town
This is another one of those quests that has you do a bit of wandering/using knowledge you've already gathered
There is a young faerie in Lenria who is a magic user but fairly unexperienced. Send her to the academy and then return to Septia for the diadem.

okay i beat the game with the good ending worth trouble i when through get it
i think so good game well done but this maybe just me but i don't think normal monsters should be able to 1 or 2 hit any party member when they are lvl 80 or so
Hello. I have been playing your game for a few days and I'm a little bit stuck. I have a quest where a Necromancer asked me to bring him a soul in order to teach me a spell. I went through the portal and spoke with the Grim Reaper, but I still have problems in finding the man. Who am I supposed to kill? And another thing: Is there a magic school in Septia? Septia is the town in the dessert, right? How come there is no school there?
As for the school in Septia, you must complete a side quest for the new king first. Talk with him about getting rid of the spies in the city and follow his directions. The man who's soul you have to steal is in the ruins of Seria, Lidya's and James' old hometown. If you take the boat back to Pendonia and travel through the forest you'll find the ruins of a town, look for the man there.

Hope this helps!
Thanks for the info. I managed to get one of the quests done.

As for the other one...
The spies were the strange guys with the red flag thing if I remember correctly. I did that quest and the other with the Prince not accepting the new king. I can't remember what exactly was said during that red flag spies mission since I did that quest long ago and the quests log aren't updated like the other games, so it's difficult to see what you have to do next. The new King's dialogue says something about us being good agents after we beat Thrusen. And now the only quest I have is stopping Thrusen... Did I do something wrong? Because I still can find the school?
The school should be in the old building of the red flag. Check back in there. If you haven't visited the cave in the back of the house, yuo have to do that first as well I think.
I visited the red flag house and I even entered the mini cave and spoke to the guard. His final dialogue is "I'm on it" or something.
and nothing happens.

The school isn't there. Do I have to beat Thrusen first?
Can anyone tell me where to find the shovel for the quest in Pendonia?

Can anyone tell me where to find the shovel for the quest in Pendonia?

From what I remember the shovel it's in the mountains
How do I get past the mountain to get Elliott's key? I am obviously missing something but I just can't find a way/ I hope someone is still reading here to help!
Do you see two witches on your side of the mountain? One of the entrances to the towers is guarded by the witches in Mt. Needlehole, the other is guarded by Atlas the giant in the Eldenstar Swamp (Both on the far right hand side).
Thank you! I had been all thru that swamp and never noticed the eastern path the first time. After that every time I went thru the swamp I just used to direct path to the town and never realized that the giant was now there. Again, thanks so much! great game!
