(Based on the movie by Harold P Warren)

Michael Downing and Margaret Peterson are the textbook examples of an All-American couple. Forced to postpone their wedding due to severe rainfalls, they seek shelter inside a lone Motel on the side of the road. Things take a swift turn for the worst when the couple is separated and thrown into an enormous labyrinth sitting underneath the motel. The twosome make it their mission to reunite with each other, teaming up with two mysterious and quirky individuals along the way. Will the young couple overcome the plethora of deadly demons and dangerous traps to reach other other in time, or will a much greater evil expose the cracks in their relationship to claim Margaret as his own? .

I can't believe I actually did this myself.

But I really like how it turned out.
Definitely one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It almost makes me want to play the game.

can't make a bad game if you don't finish any games

baaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaahahahaha
I get an error when you have to fight a boss in the chapel after the catacombs. Which says: failed to create bitmap, which I think has to do with the graphic for his battler or something.
Yikes! I'll play through that part on my desktop (which doesn't have VX) and see if I come across the same error.

Thanks for pointing out that error, Cornflake. You were exactly right.

Anyways, it should be fixed now and a new download will be available here soon.

You can use the same save file.

Whew, it took me a few hours but I've managed to finish this three times, that is enough times to get the secret ending.

Questions:
- what's the deal with the empty chest?
- does the secret ending differ based on which character you choose?

Overall, a nice game. I've yet to see Manos, but I doubt it's as intense as this game.
- The deal with the empty chest was designed to make you waste your time =p
- The ending is more or less the same for both characters, though their reactions/motivations at the end are different.

Glad you enjoyed the game! Which character did you enjoy using the most?
AS MICHAEL:

After you fight the Roundworm in the Catacombs, DO NOT go back in the save! Continue down the corridor and watch the scene that occurs. If you go back and save immediately after the fight before viewing the scene, a switch will set off prematurely and you will completely miss that scene, not to mention you'll be stuck watching a very buggy scene instead. =P

I apologize in advance for this.

E-E-E-E-E-E-PIC WIN.
I heard about the movie from this game. Made me eager to watch it
I can't call it the worst movie (or completely bad), but it was a good experience to see it
Yeah, the movie was definitely a lesson in........many things. haha
A fun little RPG if you want to kill an hour. Though I was honestly surprised at how straightly you played it x) Considering the movie it's based off. Why sometimes I couldn't quite tell if it was supposed to be a parody of sorts. Still, was a fun game never the less! Only complaint is a severe under use of Torgo :/ course I only played as Michael.
Yeah, Torgo plays a MUCH stronger role in Margaret's playthrough. If you're a Torgo fan, you should give it a shot! =) It's easier than Mike's path, and even easier in new game+.

The game was written with an 80s B-movie in mind. It wasn't intended to be a parody.
I cannot believe someone made a game out of this.

A million hats off to you, sir.
