Episodes 1-6 have been taken down in preparation for the full release! Everyone who wanted the demo got it, I'm quite sure. Episode 8 is finished now, and it's time that I started testing away at the final parts of the game. Aside from the odd item or two to add, and some minor bug fixes, it's completely done!

Who says you can't accomplish anything worthwhile when you're drunk? I don't recommend it, however. I'm feeling loopy. Anyways, time for me to relax a bit. Tomorrow starts the final phase of this project, and it's going to be a tough job.

Oddly enough, I hadn't really noticed this game until I decided to look at some random blog posts in an attempt to scout out other games. Glad to see your still working on your games, and if the need turns up to where you need a backup tester, I'll take on the role. If not, I can just wait till it's released to play the whole thing. Things were busy with christmas and all, but now that it's slowing down, I can tackle some rm games at a quicker rate.

On a side note, your game is looking pretty good. Course my comments are best saved during a testing session (which you know all too well).

Edit: Ps: Just read the comments, and I am 100% for it being harder :). Course if it got to a difficulty that really challenged me...it'd probably be unplayable for almost anyone else ;p.
Haha well if you're offering your services I can't turn them down. I've gotta go through it all myself again before passing it onto testers, but I'll be sure to send you a link to it when I send it to amerk and Lyn.

It's so hard to find that happy medium of difficulty, and somehow I always find myself right in the middle of two extremes (which I suppose is where I want to be). The battles are all optional in this game, differing from my norm, so I suppose in that sense players can make it as difficult on themselves as they want by steering clear of battles and not leveling up. I guess we'll see though, now that I've added the additional "last stand" type attacks when Fergus' HP is 20% or less, it could have an unexpectedly negative effect.
Sounds good lol. I'll try my best to comment on what I think of the difficulty. I know my own skills are exceptional, but I'll try to make my analysis on how the difficulty is for an amateur.

I'm curious to how the different endings are going to work. I predict you unlock new endings via either completing x amount of optional stuff, or it's based on choices during the story. I'm also curious that if it's based on choices, then just how much it'd split the story in two.

Heh either way, I'll be sure to complete all 100% once it's ready. Gotta make sure all four routes work after all. Can't wait to test it :).
Much appreciated!

The endings vary only slightly, whereas the real implications of those endings will be felt more in the sequel. I was going to have the endings depend on side quests and w/e, but in the end I felt that players deserve to be able to choose their endings rather than earn them, especially when the consequences will drastically change the game's world in the sequel (plus they can easily create multiple saves to have all the endings available if they want). It all boils down to 3 choices you make at the end of this game that change the difficulty of the final battle as well as the fates of the characters themselves. I'm pretty excited to implement it all :)

I'll add your name to the testers list now before I forget.
