Alright, you can move! You're animated and everything in the appearance of the default party's first character. However, most games do the null party black map intro thing.. If there is no starting party, or if the leading hero has no initial charset, then you are invisible.
But if you make a map with just the starting hero in it and no active events (but they can be there just for show), behavior is indistinguishable from the original RPG_RT.exe. That's pretty groundbreaking. If I implement the event program, the engine will suddenly be almost complete! The other half of the work will be battles and standard party management.. But lots of you wrote your own custom menus- those would be operational after just implementing event programming.
Haha, once I decode the program entirely, it becomes easy since I've already implemented virtual RPG processing units before. This sure is fun to work on, plus the companion game, don't forget about that. I may even have a cracktastic RTP tech demo that tests almost all engine functions.
