This is just the start of something that will grow. There are two lands so far in this world. 20+ levels. With enough positive feedback, I'll make more lands and more great levels :-)

Here's the 6 minute trailer for Grass Land.

And the 4 minute trailer for Desert Land.

Here it is. I'm almost done with it. I just need to pollish it. There's already been a lot of pollishing, it was a lot more difficult before. Painfully difficult, but the edges are softened. It will be up for download soon.

Wow what? Bad wow? Good wow? Bow Wow?
Impressive. Some graphics were customary.
Nah they're not custom, just pallet swaps and rips from Mario games. Many thanks to Nintendo and its art / graphics team for making them and then others for ripping them from the games to put them in SMBX.

Sorry I watched the video and it left me speechless. I've been completely ignoring SMBX up until now. Your demo just changed my mind.
lol wow that's a compliment and yeah I ignored SMBX up until a month ago too. I always played SM games on the SNES... because my cousins and I still have a working one. Well we played it more before New Super Mario Bros Wii.
Wow this is really great, its amazing how SMBX games get shoved under the carpet compared to the RPG games on the site.
Well this one isn't very big. That could have something to do with it.
They're not shoved under any carpets. It's a new engine and there are only a few games made(recently) for it. Not everybody has the skills to be good at Mario games so they aren't very interested in playing them.

On a site that hosts RPG games made in RPG makers it's only natural that non-RPG games don't get much attention.
Well, Mario games in general will remain popular for at least another decade. Supermario bros x.V3
is now considered a new engine for making characters, NPC's, and events interact on a 2-D platform. The program can generate overworld maps in styles similar to traditional overview RPGs.

Edit: I guess J-Rpgs are the most fun.
I see Davenport's Mario plugged a lot on the homepage, but the homepage goes by newest game uploads doesn't it?

I'm still wondering why I must make a new game page for a RPG that was rejected. Seems silly.

Davenport, there's no use in arguing anything about how Mario is similar to RPG. Its a 2D platformer.
Yeah, if you upload something but don't make it the main download you will get your game on the main page.

Mario games will remain popular forever but that doesn't have anything to do with hosting it on a RPG maker website and how popular it becomes. That's what I was talking about.
Although, come to think of it, you could remake Zelda 2 with the game. Overworld / maps. You can remake Battle of Olympus and Simon's quest too. I'm still pretty surprised RMNK allows Mario game hosting, but it draws visitors.
I really liked the engine and mario games so I pushed to have it included in the engine list. I even wrote the game description and "made" the icon for it here. (mystery solved)
Now if someone could solve the mystery of my rejected game and how to get it approved. All of these comments make me want to continue making for this game.
This game was wonderfully mapped. I hope you continue it!
Thanks so much Desmo! It means a lot. I am continuing it, but I did get burnt out. I've made 80+ levels with SMBX and quite a few tutorial videos on how to make your own levels.
Oh Youtube... I got my first thumbs down today, because I linked the game and the download is still pending. I know this, because someone commented in anger about how the download link doesn't work. On the other hand I've helped a thousand people with my tutorials and got only one or two thumbs up. Help people and they won't give you credit, do something they don't like and you'll hear about it.
Still waiting for pending download to be approved. This delay is giving me time to think and that's never a good thing.
Didn't this game already have a download a while ago? Also, I watched a few minutes of some of your videos but I didn't really learn anything I hadn't already figured out. I wanted to see the quality, it's good that you made them for newbies. I'm just trying to say video views doesn't exactly equal people helped :P I rarely gives thumps up/down on youtube. I think it's a dumb feature and I(like many others) am not always logged into my youtube account to give feedback.
