In the year 3012 on the highly technological world of Annoroc, a war torn Republic struggles to gain control within its own ranks. The head of the Cybernetic Division, Victus DeNovo, has staged a rebellion on a biblical scale. Having perfected soul manipulation and transfer, DeNovo emerged with a full fledged army of spirit-bound war machines he called Machina.
With his titanium-clad legions he began to dominate any and all resistance that stood in his path.

It wasn't long until the Republic of Annoroc crumbled away, and in its stead a tyrannical Empire was put fourth, with DeNovo reigning as its Emperor. When the people of Annoroc thought all hope was lost, a shining beacon emerged within the darkness to challenge the newly appointed Emperor. Celestial Beings began to appear in Imperial cities, wielding power by the likes of which has never been seen before. The planet of Annoroc quickly became a war zone as the mysterious beings and the Machina faced off in a all out struggle for control.
