Judgment Day is Coming! But that won't stop me :D

As I've stated on numerous occasions, ND is a project that a small group of friends write for in their spare time, and we would be doing it even if we never posted any of it on the net. Therefore, RMN's demise will not affect our work. It is sad, however, as I love the game pages, even if I'm the only one who ever looks at mine.

RRR has not posted my season 2 game page, even though I submitted it like 3 weeks ago. It probably means they're questioning its content, which means I'm totally fucked!

Anyways... this is probably the push we need to start promoting this show in new ways. RPG Maker was never the best medium for the show in the first place, and the ppl here are quite obviously not our targeted audience. The medium basically decided where we'd post it for us. I've been considering recreating the series as a web comic, purging some of the lengthy and more serious stuff and keeping the best content. If we were to go this route, we would make our own site. I wish we could do flash, but that just takes too much time.

I'll be writing a script for my favorite episode and trying to sell it as well. Obviously, I don't think it will sell, but I've been wanting to have this down in a word doc anyway. I'm weird like that.

So, where will this show go now? With a website being a while off, and a plan needing to be devised, I'm gonna focus on an actual targeted audience for once. I'll be posting it in atheist forums, and looking into political sites where it may be welcomed. With the RTP files in the d/l, chances are it will finally catch on with some people.

This game was not well received here, and there have been many who bash it without even trying it. It has VERY few downloads, so I'm still not even convinced that it hasn't done well. I mean, I've received some praise for it here and there, which is great to hear that we're not the only people on the net with a fucked up sense of humor... but I've heard some pretty bad things too. Mostly I choose to ignore those people, as they probably lack a sense of humor anyway.

One thing I'm truly proud of, however, is that in my short time here, I've managed to make a name for it. Even if that name stopped people from downloading it, I'm proud. I've seen people in the forums talk about it on many occasions, which is surprising, considering it has less than 150 downloads here. Mostly they were trying to get it purged from the site, but at least they took notice ;P

No, we won't be silenced because there are those that truly hated it. I think it's hilarious how much animosity we've garnered just from the game pages alone lol. Like, REALLY! I've been treated like absolute garbage right from the beginning, just because people hated the premise of the show and thought that my noobish skills weren't cool enough lol. Again, I'm kinda proud of that fact. The show was meant to be offensive, and despite a review that contradicted itself (this game was hardly offensive at all - followed by - never EVER say nigger!), I believe we truly offended some bible thumping republicans. One guy actually started quoting the bible on my RRR page LOL. Tears of laughter, I tell ya.

I really enjoyed my time here, and will continue to suck every last minute I can from the site until it is gone. Sure, I hate how a select few ppl jump on noobs and try to humiliate the shit out of them, but at least they never came up with the kind of offensive crap we have for this show... so I won't be a hypocrite and pretend like I'm a bigger person than they are. No one is perfect - least of all us nerds who waste our time with rpg maker..

Definitely worth a try to find a target audience. I can see how a lot of people would take offense to this game, but the irony of the absurd nature of the characters was never lost on me. It's a shame that not many people were willing to give it a chance.
