Sequel to the Rpgmaker2003 epic, Legacies of Dondoran.

Takes place 20 years later. Same world, mostly the same geo-political circumstances, totally new plot, only marginally related to the plot of LoD1.

The game's protagonist is Alec Tyranos, son of the hero of LoD1, Garm Tyranos. Humanity, united in its effort to create the new "Magi Army," comprised of magically gifted folk, and deploying its invincible airship fleet, stands astride the world with undisputed dominance.

Alec Tyranos, a regular army officer, finds himself amidst a massive political upheaval that threatens to shatter the continuity of the expansive Dondoran Republic.

Projected Play time: ~30 hours

Current Features:
-Fully functional, fast, user-friendly CMS

-All character progression determined by the highly interactive (and now, way way more user-friendly picture-based) skill tree

-"Battle2" (large animation) Battlechars. Which means, I don't use the standard 3-frame crap. The battlechars will rock, in other words.

-Skill points act as experience, seperate from level experience. SPs can be acquired via quests or tomes of skill. Sp gain is directly related to party level versus enemy party level.

-Mostly random encounters, but few in number, and longer, more complex fights. The HP level (in relation to damage output) of players and enemies is high, which raises the importance of buffs, debuffs, and specific tactics.

-STR, DEF, and INT stats are dramatically more important than default rm2k3. AGI, which is a broken stat, is mostly homoginized, and changes only with specific skills and gear.

UPDATE:

Put on Hiatus indefinitely due to the production of Legacies of Dondoran VX.

Your level design is looking really good. Nice job!

This looks way better than the first one! I like your various menus.
This looks even niftier than the first one, especially the "nice view" screenshot.

Is there a projected release date, or...
Love your avatars! They're obviusly Fire Emblem edits, and that's why they're so cool, lol.
This looks amazing. I can see a lot of work was put into it.

Thanks all!

As far as a projected release date... sometime between 2008 and the end of the world. :) Maybe I'll get a big demo out in 2008.
Hooray!

Maybe you ought to shift to a newer Maker, though. Coding for the menus and Skill Point systems would probably be a lot easier.

Why would I do that when 100% of the coding for my menus and skill point systems are already done, bug-free, attractive, and user-friendly?

This game began in rm2k3 and will end in rm2k3. Perhaps in the far future I'll start a new one in rmvx.
This looks kick ass. (Again, it was the Random Screenshot feature that brought me here).
wow harmonic, I can note the difference and vast improvements in part 2. I played part one and I liked it too. looking forward to this one when it comes out.
Is it possible to get some sort of update on how long til the game is finished?

noob: Sorry I haven't updated this in a while. I've been hard at work with a project on RPGmaker VX. We'll see where that one goes.
Isn't Hiatus infinitely the equivalent to canceled?

Hiatus means put on hold for now, canceled means put on hold forever. Combine Hiatus and infinity, and you get canceled, right?
@mario: I think he's coming back to this once he's done LoDVX. I could be wrong, though; it's not like he's made a page for LoDVX, so I don't really know the difference between the two.
I can hardly wait for this. I played the first one a long time ago and quit when I realized I could not defeat the last boss. Is there a date that this is expected because it seems this is taking a while.
Could really use some help on Dondoran 1 Like where is this Lava Core?
And some info on crystals and seals.. And DVD in general.
if this is in hiatus forever, then does that mean that it is basically that you stopped working on it and gave up entirely on ever completing it? I really wanted to play this.
I guess the only thing to do now is to curse LoD VX for making this game get put on hold.
