I don't like the abs though. They came off too defined compared to the other muscles.

Do you plan on doing more like this? I've never seen somebody take a sprite and turn it into a portrait like that. I could really use this as inspiration for creating anime in paint. Its really impressive and this could potentially help me. Thanks for sharing this Avee:)

I drew his sprites first but this is how I pictured Kelbesque in my mind since the pre-production writing phase.
I didn't plan to include cutscenes like this at first but now I decided every major character in the game should have their portrait made. And I'll see later if I want to include minor animations like in Valis' cutscenes.

That would be cool:) I enjoyed the Valis cutscenes, they were very detailed in color and animation. I look forward to more portraits in the future. If this is just the first one, then the others should be impressive too. So far I've seen Misae(Main Image) and this one.

About that, I'll definitely do a new one for Misae because the old one is a heavy edit of another artist's image. I'll probably get rid of it entirely.
Abs should be a bit further down; at the moment they're on his rib cage. Besides that, it has quite a nice style to it.
