First of all, I want to apologize to everyone for the game not being up-loaded for you to play; my beta tester is apparently not able to get on as much as she had been able to now.
I will post the game today, but please let me know if there are any glitches or problems.

I have included some questions/answers below that were asked by a couple of friends; there are a lot of things, but the only ones I would consider important for you read really is the 1st question about the audio and then the second to the last about why I made the game. These two are indicated by an Astrix(*) next to them...

*Q: The sound is too LOUD/quiet! Why?
*A: I’m sorry, the audio on my laptop was some how messed up, but with this game only for some reason. I’m working on it, but there was nothing I could do about it while this game was in production. You might want to change how loud your audio is on your laptop/pc before you start up the game. If the audio is too quiet, you might want to plug in some headphones and turn up the audio on your laptop/pc. Again, sorry about it everyone, there was nothing I could do…
Q: Why did you name the game Variable Village?
A: The game was originally nothing more than a tester project to help me better understand (and not fear) variables. The game got along rather well and nothing was really in it, just a bunch of events with variables running. After a while, I really began to fall in love with the game itself so I decided to change everything with it and made it a quick 20 minute “serious” game instead of a test game. I added the "variable" word in there because it was originally nothing more than a tester and I thought it would also be a nice tribute to my attempts at variables.
Q: Where did you get the graphics from? I’ve never seen them and can I have them???
A: I recently purchased the new expansion/add-on by Enterbrain – the RPG Maker VX - Full Samurai Set; i used them in this game because I figured it was a great way for me to play with the new tile-set's and also to experience the beautiful new facesets/face-pics. And to answer the last part of that question, no, I am afraid I will not be sharing these with anyone, so please don't ask. This cost me money, and it's only proper that you go out and purchase it yourself as well; as I recall, RMN does not support stealing from any major company, therefore I will not be contributing to that. Please purchase it here if you would like them. :3
Q: Where did you get the idea for the story? It’s a lot different from the game you’re currently making.
A: I am a huge fan of the Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly game, also been a fan of the “original” Silent Hill game series on the PS1 (and Silent Hill Origins on PS2); I figured, what better way to pay a small tribute to my favorite game types (besides RPG’s, that is) than to make my tiny little mini-game some-what like them? I know its different from my original gaml, Eriscadia: The Fall of Nations, but that's what you get when your angry at your main project and/or at something your trying to do with it, you make a game to get over the anger with it. This just happened to be the out-come... XD
Q: What scripts did you use in this game? I didn’t really see anything special in the game…
A: Believe it or not, I used ZERO scripts to make this. I know, rare these days, huh? I wanted to make it some-what of another form of a challenge for myself; keep the project as basic as possible and yet still keep it entertaining. The only script I used was one I made myself with some reference from a tutorial I found online (I think it was here, don't remember). It just changes the font used in the game, and its extremely easy to use; if anyone wants the script, happy to give it to you and happy to explain what you need to do to get it to work (its only 3 steps and their all easy).
*Q: Is there going to be a sequel?
*A: Maybe… Not sure. It all kind of depends on if I have anything else that I really need to learn to do or test or something (or how mad I get at my project, lol). If there is, then I ‘might’ have it follow the same road as the first game, but probably wont. Remember, this was an accidental mini-game, so the chances of a sequel being made are little to almost none. But, you never know…
Q: Will you be making more Mini-Game’s like this in the future?
A: The game, although not much to it, was a blast for me to write and create and I would love to start up a line of mini-games along these lines. I wouldn’t mind doing a lot of mini-games, actually, with a different variance between them; there’s all these lengthy full-blown games that takes you a week to a year (glares at V&V and Heroes Realm) to complete (or stinkin’ create!) either because your life is just far too busy or because you just play these games to relax for a short period of time. I think we need more mini-game’s out there that are fantasy, sci-fi, j-horror, etc., so people have something that they can just pop into real quick and enjoy for a few short minutes and then move on. Expect more from me this short, generally only when my main game becomes frustrating, though. Lol!

So, yeah, there it all is in a nut shell; I hope that answers any questions you might have or might of had, if it doesn’t, feel free to post your question here and I’ll gladly answer it if I can… This should as well keep people entertained for a while until I can get the demo for my main game released some time in November (although if it continues to be a thorn in my side that date may be pushed back to December).
Ciao people!
