There is now a website you can use to share your custom content with other users! But you're still welcome to use this page to share and discuss content.

Below is a list of finished custom (user-made) content. To add these characters, in most cases you can extract the downloaded file to the game's main directory and you're set. Depending on how the author has organized them, it may be necessary to move files to the appropriate directories. (Custom content has not been tested by me)
Note: After new content has been added, old saves won't be compatible.

If you have posted custom content in this thread, I will (eventually) add your link to the list above, along with a small screenshot if you have included one. Be sure to test your content in-game before posting.

Helpful things:

--> Medium build girl, the .psd that was used to create the built-in characters, is available with layer names in English.

--> Not feeling artistic? You can use any of these images for making custom characters.

--> Notepad++ with syntax highlighting for Heartache 101 can be a big help with story creation.

--> If you are writing story content that includes the appearance of existing characters (built-in or custom), the following list may be of reference:
ID 0 = The Player
ID 1 = Nakajima Miki
ID 2 = Ikeda Keika
ID 3 = Onishi Tsubasa
ID 4 = Kaneshiro Shihoko
ID 5 = Kaneshiro Riho

By the way; imma see if I can "cheat" the system, learn the system, and manipulate it to see if I can add CG's, becuase, I'm getting real anxious. Advise me if that's a bad idea.

Generally, adding special CG graphics is a matter of using OTHER slots. Or, depending on how complicated the scene is, a "hidden" character as the CG graphics! Quad-tech ho!

I don't think it'll be hard to add that feature. And while I'm at it I'd probably go ahead and make it possible to set affection to a specific state, which is something else that has been asked for on occasion.

Won't be able to get around to this soon, though. I'm gonna be away from my computer for the next few weeks. If you don't see me online much, that's why.

I'm partially assuming that you're working on A Hint of Tint on top of whatever else you're doing. So, busy schedule, it sounds like!

Yeah and I'm gonna have to leave that one alone, too, while out of town for family stuff, which chafes me 'cause I'm so close to finishing.
Anyway, you guys hold the fort while I'm gone :)
CHANGES!

-Included Natsume Rika, Maeda Eriko and Lambaria Yuu in the ID list.

While I'm at practicing my newfound power over this board, I'd like to propose an idea. I have a long, elaborate reasoning behind it, which I'm NOT going to post, taking Marrend's subnormal attention span into account, only if you ask for it or oppose it.
I think would be for the better if we had a voting system, just between us creators, to rate custom content. I have the rules worked out, in case you guys deemed it as much of a necessity as I do. What do you all think?

Forgoing what kind of voting/rating system we would even use, I'm thinking that would be a piece of information that would be part of the character description. Simple example:

Masako
Author: Marrend
Referring post
Content types included: story, profile, tachie, music.
User rating: 2 votes

Alternatively:
Masako
Author: Marrend
Referring post
Content types included: story, profile, tachie, music.
Average User Rating: 80% (16 / 20; 2 total votes)

Or, you can tell us how the heck this is supposed to work, and we can base how best to relate that information on that!
I was asking whether you think it's a good idea or not. I'm guessing that's a yes on your part. Others?

It's a variation of the lower option btw.
i have no problem with it
Excellent!:D LordNight?
i'm having a lot of trouble writing for yoko lately and im thinking about shelving her for a yandere till i can get back to the light and fluffy stuff any comments?

If flowerthief didn't already have a new poll running on the other website, I would totally run a poll with this question of user ratings there. I'm just figuring that the one hundred or so responses (From actual players!) that we would get from there to this question is better than the maybe-four responses (From content developers!) that we would get here.

Then again, like I said, the poll that is being run now is on the new side. We should probably wait about a month, maybe two, before posing this there. That's my plan, anyway.
I have many questions... so far, I'll only ask this:
the poll is about authors and their works?
who would vote?
where would we vote?
do we need to vote every time a new content appears?
can we place a vote on our own work?
More to Marrend's point, we don't want inept newbies and trolls ruin the results. Let's keep it low profile. No strangers.

Since LordNight asked for it, let's extablish the rules. Let me know if you have other ideas.

1. All votes are made unanonymously, right here in the forum. Links at the top of the page will point to every such post.

2. Anyone with who can be considered a part of our community may ask for right to vote. Either me, flowerthief or Marrend may approve of you.

3. Routes are rated in the following qualities:
a. Story. The story has to be interesting. That goes without saying. What makes a story interesting is not ever the same, but you can easily come up with a reason in the case it's not. This also includes grammar and consistency; we need stories that make sense in context and are typo-free enough to not knock you out of the feel.

b. Characters. Now, I'm not saying you have to like the heroine, or anyone else. I dislike Masako greatly, but that isn't because she's badly written. In that regard, she's rather awesome. This isn't a matter of our personal preference. That leads only to flamewars, and doesn't actually say anything. Instead, we should praise originality and depth, or penalize the lack of those.

c. Experience. Let's face it, people aren't going to respect the effort you put into your work. They want to have fun when they play a game, and when we fail to deliver that, they delete the folder with a frown. It doesn't matter how catchy the story/character is when the gameplay is boring or frustrating, and the game mechanics have just enough of that as it is. That's necessary. In what we create, it isn't.

d. Content. Quality>quantity, but if you barely spare a good storyline a cameo's screentime, you either don't grab the attention of the audience or leave them craving for more. Either way, it means you're fucked. The story should be long enough to keep you busy for at the very least one and a half hour, tied in with other stories, and come with date and phone events if applicable, to live up to the built-ins - maybe even suprass them.

4. Each of the above is rated from 0 to 5. After that's done, the average of every rating in each quality will be the rating in that aspect of the route. The results are then summed up, and the average of that will be the overall rating.

5. You can only rate Experience if you've played, and until that's done, your vote won't count to the end result.

6. No matter what, every rating has to be backed up with reason and example. If anyone would give any rating on anything without a decent explanation, I won't take notice.

7. Anyone with a reasonable amount of self-judgement may rate his own work(I'm right out of the window, sadly), but only after rating another, and the work being rated by another.

8. Any route with an overall rating of 19 or more after at least 4 votes, and no lower rated story among it's requirements is essentially on par with the built-in stories. I'd go as far to say they're canon-worthy. I wish I could speak in place of flowerthief, but I don't want to find out how he acts when he's pissed, so we'll see what he has to say about that.

So, basically, a review. This is just a thought, but we could, in theory, submit character reviews as reviews. Not sure how good of an idea that is, though. If we use RMN's review system, we don't want to game the system by spamming reviews for each character. There should only be one review per user that contains information on each character the user is reviewing.

Actually, I'm already beginning to think that using RMN's review system for this purpose is a very bad idea. Never mind!
I am having trouble coming up for a reason for my yandere to hate the player at first I thought I would go with the cliché of her having a crush on one of the main characters but then I thought which one but then I decided that might be a little to cliché so what im asking is any suggestions?
The idea is problematic to begin with. A yandere has to be nice by basis. That's part of the character type. But I can't see why is your idea clichic. Frankly, I haven't ever seen a similar setup, let alone the same. Go with that "crush on someone else" thing. Gives her the only viable reason to hate the player I can think of too, so why not?
a yandere neh?
this question should come first.
why would she hate player in the first place?
Easy. See, yanderes are very, VERY protective of their significant other. Even if that person doesn't consider them one. I can think of thousands of ways she can misinterpet the player's whatever-he-was-doing as malicious intents against her boyfriend or 'boyfriend'. At least that's how I interpret what Triad meant. Can't ever be sure with his messy grammar.
if the said yandere is not a heroine then it's easy~
