Armor Input... Why do I suck? XD

Still thinking of armor - would like some random input (I know it's our game, but I can't think of what to do for the life of me). XD

CHARACTER SPECIFIC

*would be standard upgrades

Headwear

Aelina/Poppy = Girl Headgear (dunno what to call it)
Narie/Reina/Malechite = Circlet
Kyran = Bandana
Demi = Helmet

Bodygear

Aelina/Malechite = Tunic
Narie/Kyran/Demi = Breastplate
Poppy/Reina = Robe/Dress

MAGIC/LIGHT/HEAVY
==================
*magic would have very little defense, but obviously make one uber magical
*light has no positive or negative consequences
*heavy would be more defensive, but would lower movement speed

Headwear

Magic = Circlet
Light = Hat
Heavy = Mask

Bodygear

Magic = Robe
Light = Clothing
Heavy = Armor

Well I can't call it that because although it includes tiaras, it also has hairpins, barrettes, ribbons, and stuff like that.

Anyhoo, know which one section I should use?

I like the sound of the middle option. If your just looking for a vote based on the sections.

The middle option does seem the the well-rounded, generic approach. If this were my game, I'd probably go with that, since I know that I would standardize equipment bonuses anyway.

Silly I can't use Accessory, because Accessory is well... An accessory. Lols.

So like, which section do you like?

Trinket?

Maybe you should call them hairpins, even though you use words like ribbon.

You could always rename Accessory to Extra or something else, to use Accessory elsewhere.

Okies, I've decided to call them Adornments.

But I don't really care what they're called, 'cause only they'll be referenced to me. XD

But anyhoo, the whole point of this post was to decide on which section you'd like to see used. Lols.

Ah wells.

I got all kinds of different answers. ;_;

I wish there was a way to, like, use them all. Haha.

Well, you might be able to get away with combining categories two and three. Possibly categories one and two as well. All three? That would be a stretch.

The gender specific setup seems arbitrary to me. Why can only males wear mail and females plates? Why are circlets heavy?

I suggest you pick character specific if you want them to have set roles and magic/light/heavy if you want the player to be able to customize the characters.

Well I've decided to have it so there are character specific gear, but the player can also choose between different equipment for them.

Like Aelina can choose between a certain type of magical/charismatic gear or light armor that simply protects her.

Or Demi can choose between magical armor that enhances his Fae Magick or just plain old heavy armor that protects him.

I think I shall go with that.

After talking with my fiance last night, we've decided to remove headgear and give them footwear (because none of them wear anything on their heads) which basically modifies their Action Points (Stamina) and Movement Speed.

Also, now I've got to figure out what everyone wears and what choices the player will get for each character. Lols.
