About Ben Dowler's Pro Whaling 2012:
tldr: epic, funny, polished.
Imagine a game that allowed you to live out your wildest whaling-related dreams. You have finally found that game.
The objective of the game is to prevent Whalenarok, the end of the Whaling World. You, a young Greenpeace soldier, must embark on a journey to bring down your government after learning the hidden truth about the Whaling Spirit. You team up with childhood friends and budding revolutionaries to start a war in the name of freedom, justice and Whaling! Beginning in your hometown of Splashdown, you and your crew must do the seemingly impossible: overthrow the iron grip of Greenpeace, then travel the world making sure everyone enjoys the freedom you have won. You will visit many different locations, meeting a huge cast of friends of villains, all on your way to defeat the leader of Greenpeace: Virimperator Traumus. The holy powers of Whaling Spirit will aid you on the way, especially through the agency of Ben Dowler himself, bringing hope to those who still live from the Spirit Realm.
As the leader of the revolution, you will have to make many choices along the way. The composition of the crew you command will depend on your actions throughout the game. The story features many themes of war, especially the losses it can impart, particularly to the nearest and dearest of the main cast. But it's not all doom and gloom at all: the story rides alongside light hearted discussion and hundreds of comical interactions with the citizens of the Whaling World. Writing comedy is something I enjoy, and thus I have gorged myself in such practices throughout the game!
The Whaling World itself is a strange place. Legends say it was created when the Whaling Spirit grew itself a shell of earth and water in the depths of space. On its surface people once lived in happiness, whaling freely under the warm guidance of the Whaling Spirit. But slowly an organisation known as Greenpeace began to emerge. They opposed the whalers, and grew into a violent para-military group. A band of heroes defeated them seventy years ago, but since then things have changed a lot. Now Greenpeace rule the entire planet with an iron fist. The harvesting of sea life is forbidden, and the Whaling Spirit grows ever more corrupt at its sacred art is ignored. It won't be long until there is a flashpoint, and everything will be forced to change...
Of course, your adventure needn't be limited to just the surface of the Whaling World at all...
This game is a sequel to Ben Dowler's Pro Whaling 2011:
