Running is a go!
TheRexion- 08/18/2012 04:16 AM
Well, after some hard experimentation and a few... minutes.. of work, I've finally implemented some Running Shoes!
Yay...
Now I've just gotta figure out when would be an appropriate time to give them.
As for when I'll release the newer version with Running, I can't say for sure. I don't feel like that's a thing important enough to release a whole new Demo for, but oh well. I haven't been making much progress, even though I have TONS of time. I'm lazy, to an extent. I want to work on my games, but every time I do I end up distracted and doing something else. So don't expect anything huge any time soon.
What I would like to know is: if I added some endgame content, what would you want that to be? I've been thinking about it, and I've never really liked RPG's that you train your team/character in for such a long time, and then you really can't do anything with him/them after you've beaten the game. So what are your thoughts?
I've already gotten a plan where people can battle other people's well-trained Pokemon, but what else?

I wouldn't directly port the Battle Frontier, but maybe something like it would be kind of cool...
Thanks for the suggestion.

I know how you feel! I hate those kinda games. There needs to be bonus content(specfically new areas). I would love to see you get on a cruise to a part of Kanto or Jhoto. But I think you should make your own areas. U seem to be a good mapper, can manipulate rpg2k3 to do whatcha want it to do, just add stuff like new towns and dungeons with new scenarios. Like Super Mario Bros. creator Miyamoto, he makes bonus content without much consent from the fans but in the end the fans expectations are usually matched or exceeded. Just be creative like you've been doing.
You know what? Reading that inspired me. I'm definitely going to include a good amount of bonus content, I have to! I feel like I'd be cheating the player a bit if after they went through all the trouble of beating my game and raising their Pokemon how they want, only to have nothing else to do. That'd be so lame.
I've been invigorated to a large degree.

Great! Good to hear. I also know how you feel about accidentally being lazy and instead of working on the game you look up youtube vids or play games. I do that often and it's usually the reason why my games get pushed back so often. Anyway, good luck! Wait, are you including Sawk? Just a random question.
