In a kingdom covered in snow, in a kingdom where the snow never melts and never goes away, there lives a prince who keeps watch over his kingdom and resolves to maintain peace. When the prince learns that his family’s history isn’t as spotless as he had been told, he endeavors to fix what his family had done wrong and to ensure the continual peace of his kingdom. This will lead the prince to battling the phantoms that prowl the lands, to saving a princess, and to realizing the secrets of his family and his kingdom.

The entire game takes place in Sabine Kingdom and the island that it rests on. The island is constantly shrouded in snow, but for some reason, no one ever feels cold. Plants continue to grow despite the snow, so there is no danger of a food shortage. There has never been a need to question this, so the residents of Sabine Kingdom are blissfully unaware.

Though of course, our prince--Snowe--is not blissfully unaware any longer. A dream leads him to combing through his parents' library and learning that something is amiss. What is our prince to do except try and fix what he had found? He can't just sit back and pretend like he hadn't read about a girl being locked in a tall tower where she may one day die from flames that threaten to burn her. No, he can't do that at all.

Ephemeral Prince !

Hi! Long time no post~

Just wanted to give anyone curious a heads up on what's been going on in Star Stealing Prince terms. I've been working on the sequel for far too long and I'm finally getting it posted! Oh, but wait, it's not an RPG--it's a webnovel. So if that is an automatic turn off, that's cool! You don't have to read if you don't want to.

For those that do, hop on over here: http://ephemeral-prince.tumblr.com/ and you can start reading. I have the prologue and chapter 1 up so far. Don't forget to check the About page (it gives you explanations and reasons). I hope if it does interest you and you read it, that you enjoy it!

Thanks for all your kind words on Star Stealing Prince in general as well. I figure I could spend every hour of my day thanking everyone but it won't be enough.

@Doj - http://starstealingprince.wordpress.com/guides/boss-guides/the-old/ <-- Does following this help you at all? Considering how much trouble he's been giving people, I think rebalancing him on the next version is in order (my beta people thought he was too easy, perhaps I did beef him up too much). What do you think would make him go from being freakin' hard to hard, but definitely doable?

@NOACCEPTANCE72 - Aw, thank you! Glad you think so.

No way. The old was 10x easier than Lorel(Whom I died on 15 times).
Compered to The Old whom I died on once, and then beat him the second time.
The only hard thing about The Old is he does that annoying triple attack thing.

@Natsu_Luffy: Yes, that's a screenshot from my game! I really liked drawing that scene (and the bad ending, I have to admit; Snowe is just fun to draw with blood. I DON'T KNOW WHY). And if the enemies are tough, dodge them as much as you can. Get Astra and Hiante on the party and then go back and kick some butt. Not much else to say.

Those interested: the Windy Wisp now has a non-action attack where it "floats around the party curiously". Hopefully when the next version is up, that'll give you guys enough time to either escape or kick butt (in addition, it spams wind more as it's dying so...).

@Gourd_Clae: Emmy came up with a good theory on why Lorel and The Old are harder than the other bosses! They are your first two bosses! You guys haven't gotten used to the system yet and thus they appear harder than the rest. Though clearly, getting your butt handed to you by Lorel 15 times made you learn quick for the Old. :P
but where can i get Astra and Hiante?
right now im in the beggining in chapter two...with a bunch of tough enemies..
sorry for my bad english..

Go through the tower; pull the levers to open the doors, etc., get to the top of the tower and you'll get Astra and Hiante. If the enemies are too tough (level 3 should be fine for them), then do your best to dodge them.
i cant beat all the enemies and i'm using a mouse so technically i cant dodge them but i will do my best to EVADE it.

Controlling characters with a mouse works on my game? O_o
yes for me but i dont know for others???
It doesn't work for me.
This is a really neat game!

I especially enjoy how you get some of the strongest items in the game at the very beginning. Also, the script was really well done- despite it slowing down after the Western Tower; the "slow-downedness" kind of added a level of maturity on the writing in a way I can't exactly put my finger on...

I only had one minor issue with the game, though >.< The final puzzle for the Western Tower- I was wondering if you could actually give us clues in-game as to opposed to making us recall our Astrology classes or "Googling"; maybe like put references in the Eastern Tower Astro-lab or Castle Library. That aside, the hints you gave us for the "Slaughterer" and "Ram" were pretty helpful, but what really stumped me was the "Middle" part... I fail to see the correlation between the constellation and it's clue...

I did put clues in the game. They were on the shelves on the third floor in the Western Tower (though it wouldn't make sense to have them in the Eastern Tower or the Castle Library as no one would make the connection, you see?). Maybe I should make them more obvious? The "Middle" came from the Arabic star, Wasat. Which is a star in the constellation Gemini. Wasat is the word for Middle (or at least that's what I've been led to believe). If you wikipedia Lucky Star of the Slaughter, you get a List of Arabic star names. I was hoping people would check to see if "middle" was there, but when I found I couldn't find it THAT easily, I put clues within the bookcases on the third floor.

Thank you for your comment though, Aphotic! :) I appreciate it!
I just got a little question...
Maybe i just don't the puzzle because my english isn't the best but i really cant figure out how to solve the puzzle from the 4th floor. It would be nice if you can give me a hint... or 2... or just helping me solve the puzzle :D

After i finish your game i will say something to the game i think(if i get the time to do so)

@Natsu_Luffy: I have my wordpress for questions like that. Here is the guide for the Old: http://starstealingprince.wordpress.com/guides/boss-guides/the-old/

@Horsti_der_Seher: 4th floor of what?
I completed the game. It is very fun and one of the best ever made. Just have two question for completion purposes: where I can get Frozen Strike II if I didn't pick up in sepulcher castle? (Ingame there is message which tells that all tomes missed on floating island are accessible later), and second one is: where I can get green ribbon?

@Swish: You can find the Frozen Strike II in Guardian’s Shrine (Maiden’s floor (where that word puzzle was)). If you missed any tomes and have trouble finding them, check my Wordpress and highlight the text next to where the tomes were found. Their other location is there!

And the Green Ribbon is in the castle. Go to the Magic Hall (where the Magic Helpers were) and go down the stairs to get to the sleeping quarters. It will only be there if you've spoken to the Librarian Helper who was in the Homebound Caves.

@Horsti: This puzzle asks you to give the Wife (switch in the middle) flowers (the left and right switch) to open up the gates to a happy marriage. The clue is:

A bridesmaid comes from the right
A groomsman comes from the left
And the wife has her flowers.

So that means flip the switch that's right of the middle switch. Then go to the switch to the left of the middle switch and flip that. Then go back to the middle switch and flip it. If you hear bars opening, you know you did it right.

Nice to see the downloads increasing and the game getting more exposure. It's certainly one of the nicest entries to our catalog. I'll try to finish it and review before the month's over.
Oh wow, you broke 1000 downloads! Good for you! :)
