In a kingdom covered in snow, in a kingdom where the snow never melts and never goes away, there lives a prince who keeps watch over his kingdom and resolves to maintain peace. When the prince learns that his family’s history isn’t as spotless as he had been told, he endeavors to fix what his family had done wrong and to ensure the continual peace of his kingdom. This will lead the prince to battling the phantoms that prowl the lands, to saving a princess, and to realizing the secrets of his family and his kingdom.
The entire game takes place in Sabine Kingdom and the island that it rests on. The island is constantly shrouded in snow, but for some reason, no one ever feels cold. Plants continue to grow despite the snow, so there is no danger of a food shortage. There has never been a need to question this, so the residents of Sabine Kingdom are blissfully unaware.
Though of course, our prince--Snowe--is not blissfully unaware any longer. A dream leads him to combing through his parents' library and learning that something is amiss. What is our prince to do except try and fix what he had found? He can't just sit back and pretend like he hadn't read about a girl being locked in a tall tower where she may one day die from flames that threaten to burn her. No, he can't do that at all.

CloseThe only ones important probably are the cornet, the mask, and the bead bracelet for upping Snowe's magic a bit in the beginning. I think I'll make it so you can find the cornet and mask after you get back to town (just through plot reasons the kids can't be handing those out a second time haha) so I don't have to completely toss my bosses out the window for people who may not have gotten them.

And this is a good thing to realize! xD One of the really good ways around that is what you're doing - have other people who play differently giving you feedback and telling you if what you're doing works for them or not.
Also, it's important to realize that many of us grew up with games like Final Fantasy, in which debuffs were useless and NPCs didn't give you jack shit. ;n; Ahahaha I definitely played through 3/4s of Arc Rise Fantasia without ever using buffs or debuffs, and in that game YOU NEED TO USE (DE)BUFFS TO SURVIVE.
So yes - remember that your players may or may not be carrying such gaming baggage with them, and it's not necessarily a bad idea to subtly hint that maybe that giant ass bird has a weak immune system and you should probably try to poison it. There are probably a million and a half ways to do this without coming right out and having your NPCs the classic RPG NPCs and saying "DID YOU KNOW THAT BIRDS HAVE SHIT IMMUNE SYSTEMS YOU SHOULD PROBABLY POISON THEM", but as I mentioned early, my brain is in a state of mush and can't think of any good ones. OTL
(I guess... if you can find a way to teach the player that states are on your side and the computer is not a cheating bastard the same way you taught players that, yes, there IS a hidden passage on the left side as well as the right in this room with the statue in Astra's Tower, you'll have won. xD)

I think my problem is that I balance a game to how I play the game which includes exploring the heck out of maps and using buffs and debuffs when they actually work and make that part of my strategy against bosses, etc.

Fortunately for me I share your map-exploring, NPC-talking and buff/debuff habits, so the demo hasn't stumped me thus far. This is without a doubt the best RMVX game I've played to date.
Can not wait for further updates. Keep up the good work!

i haven't been on here in a long time but i played the demo for this and had to tell you
it fucking rules
there was a minor-but-jarring text error, though; once snowe decides to leave for the tower by himself, one of the patrons in the tavern (can't remember which and don't immediately have a good way of checking, but there's only like 5 of them so) has a "\[whatever" visible in their dialog box
oh and the IP stuff bug is kind of annoying (also funny/useful; even with the magic staff snowe can use his lightning attack! but i was raised right so i didn't abuse that)
and it's probably a good idea to ease people into the idea of exploring/interacting with everything & actually using buff/debuff items. but don't actually change the boss, i'd say; if you do everything how you're supposed to then he's just right
anyway keep up the good work and please send me snoweXhiante erotica

But most of the annoying issues you mentioned have been fixed for the final version! :D I'll recheck the people at the tavern for the text error and the part where he decides to leave. I might have screwed something up (I wouldn't be surprised) so thank you for bringing it to my attention.

I'm hoping for it to be in February or March. I don't want to put a date up there yet until it's in beta-ing stage though. Right now my health is being a pain but I have some days off work that I plan to work on SSP.

Oh man, I'm really sorry Link! I didn't realize you had posted something until now. :T So much for getting notifications.
If you still remember, can you tell me anything else? Does Windows tell you anything when the game closes? I know the demo has problems with memory leaks (because of some scripts which I have fixed and RPG Maker VX in general). So any more information if you can still remember would be helpful. :<
