-A simulated mmorpg game with depth and a driving story.
-Still early in development.

One of my tutorials for how to create a good ABS system in Rpg Maker begins with a prologue video where I used the battle system from Eden Gate as an example of what you can potentially do in the engine.

Haha I'll tell you what I've been working hard on the foundation for this game...i.e battle system, shop system, inn system, bank system, enter hero name, mini games, ocarina, weather, day&night, radial damge/agro, skill menu level system, custom menu system, pets, breakable boxes...blah blah blah..lol. SO ALL of these are DONE! I just need to finish the beastiary, crafting, and journal to be 100% complete with the foundation. Now I did this so I could translate ALL of these things into ANY game should I decide to make one...it's like an engine...ready to go to dev whatever. So if I never finish this game, I'll put all of this stuff up so people can make there own games with a HUGE starting advantage =]

That didn't answer Ashley's question.
Yes, but can he punch you in the face if you don't finish?
Every time I come on this game page I'm like "oh this stuff is all pretty cool, and very ambitious" but I can't shake the question of...

Why are you making it a game within a game?
@NewBlack: Thanks and that's a fair question to ask. There are several reasons why I am doing this. First I was greatly inspired by the idea of .hack series where you had the ability to interact with your desktop giving a multitude of options such as music and pictures which can be collected and unlocked over time. This alone gives the player more in terms of game-play and also opens up more possibilities in my opinion. I have also been intrigued by the concept of creation and a "Mirror world" So Tron is a good example if you've seen the movie. I created the desktop aspect of the game to symbolize our world (something everyone can relate to) and I wanted "The game within a game" or Eden Gate to symbolize a world with unlimited possibilities..where time and setting and physics have no true restraints on what a person can experience. Creating a role playing game in the traditional sense can be limiting in my experience. You tend to see these very creative games follow a path that guides and imo limits what is possible but with a game like "Eden Gate" I feel I can do anything and allow for any number of experiences to be felt and shown to the player.

@Ashes: Hello and I would like to see a demo link sometime within the next couple of months. I have been working very hard to make progress in this game and being the only one working on all aspects of it, it is quite time consuming. I don't have a separate planner, artist, coder, mapper but I am trying my best to work on all these aspects to deliver quality. Thanks for your patience.
Hey no problem. I hear you on that. I'm in the same boat. Been workin on my title for 4 or 5 years for the coding alone. Te story longer. I totally get the work load. XD
Thats dedication, what engine is it being made in?

@Oblic: Thanks mate! I'm glad you found your way onto this page, better late than never.
I-I feel left out again...(I find everything late)
Why does everyone keep the good stuff from me?!
Subscribed.
Thanks so much GC, I appreciate your interest in my game. =]
How on earth did I miss this!? Subbed! subbed hard! <3
@Superembo: Don't worry I understood just fine, right now it's about 160 mb and when finished I don't expect it to be more than 300. Hope that helps and thanks for the question.
