There exists a most curious and powerful race in the world of Ospes, able to manipulate and alter matter itself.

Their numbers are few, and from the beginning they have lived as outcasts, perceived as a threat to the world and every living thing in it.

They are called Theolar.

Thymetians, the most dominant race on Ospes, have done all that they can to suppress the Theolar. For they, more than any, are afraid of them.

Most Theolar are content to live in hiding and have abandoned the use of their abilities in hopes they would be forgotten. But among them there is a small group, known as the
Andurim, who are unwilling to give up that part of themselves.

Their sole purpose is to provide the Thymetians and the rest of the world with a glimpse of their greatness, now long overshadowed by what else they are capable of…

What users from rpgmaker.net have said...

"I've finished the game, and I have to say that I really enjoyed myself. I don't always keep the games, but this one is a must.
Thanks for all your hard work." - littlebro

"All in all, you have certainly set a standard for vx games. I can't think of one that actually gripped me, and especially like this one did...
At any rate, I'm just saying I loved the game. I can tell it had a huge amount of work placed into it." - demonlord5000

What users from rpgmakervx.net have said...

"Whoa. This game is amazing. I can't recall the last time I enjoyed a game, commercial or otherwise, this much. You've managed to create a world that pulls the player in,
makes him identify with teh characters and feel for them. A world that feels alive with lore and history. Every time I found one of the Nayrin relics...
I really felt I was discovering bits and pieces of an ancient civilization, scattered all over the world." - Jeffrey

If anyone wants to play arguably one of the best all around put-together RPGs available to RPG Maker VX, this is hereby on your must-do list.
- goldenguy

"I will say that I liked the message and it was a brilliant adventure while it lasted. The plot was tight, the characters convincing and the puzzles
were the best I've seen aside from Alundra. If you ever manifest another spectacular game, I'll be looking forward to it." - tom11

"Firstly you have a great imagination and a flair for writing, your game really drew me in and was a real "key-presser" right up until the final
scenes. Your game was also very well balanced in terms of available money, EXP, etc. The inclusion of your excellent (occasionally challenging)
puzzles and mini-games help to distract the player along the way. Also quite importantly the game runs practically bug free..." - matt-tribal

"Bloody fantastic RPG. Minigames, optional quests, math puzzles. Love it all." - vitrous

"...there's so much that can be done, and the story and adventure just keep taking new turns and twists...It's been a long time since I've played a
game that I have a hard time "setting down" after 2-3 hours, but this is doing that." - goldenguy

"...a brilliant game, you have clearly put a lot of thought into creating the world of Ospes and especially into its characters. I definitely
appreciate the humorous dialogue too." - matt-tribal

Hello,
Just wanted to let everyone know (especially those faithful Manifest subscribers) that I purchases a copy of Rpg Maker VX Ace a few weeks back, and have been busy creating a foundation for a new game in the tuture. I like to think the evented systems so far are pretty complex and will raise some eyebrows when the time comes =).

@ Superes
I might be thinking of the wrong room, but I think the actual quote is "even this one" meaning all the even switches need to be flipped....
I tried, but didn't work!!!

What lucidrose said is correct. If you hit any other buttons it won't work. Try leaving the room and going back in.

Only press the even numbered buttons

Good luck.
So, just for the sake of clarity...

In the room where Balerus gets killed and the Exitium Stone is taken, and you see the scroll in his hand that says something about "Exodus" and you have to input a password to open the next door...well obviously, the passcode is "Exodus", but I'm having trouble exactly putting in the numbers (because I didn't pay attention in Noor the first time around, which I probably should have). So, A=00, B=01, and C=02 and so on and so forth, or does A=01, B=02, C=03 and so on and so forth?

Also, the game's better than anything I could ever make. I'm using the thirty day trial version of the software, but I know it's definitely not going to be enough to get my work together.
How to solve the forgotten crypt colour puzzle? There is no hint. Only coloured X's on a sign.
@DanteSparda - A = 1 ... Z = 26. Thanks for the feedback.

@Luthan - Answer in a spoiler...
The order is based on the spectrum of visible light
Okay thank you. Need to google this now. First I thought...
it had to do with the colour names and the amount of letters or with sorting the names alphabetically. Really didn't think it was this. Seems this crypt has the hardest puzzles in the game. I already needed lots of time to finish that picture puzzle. Grotto was easy in comparison to that and even the Nayrin towers weren't that hard. Only need one last relict from a game in the pub in the capital and that major optional boss. Then I can continue to the sewers.
Need to level now... only level 46 and it seems it is not enough
to kill Naarxoth. Is there an easy strategy? I always need lots of heals and defensive buffs to avoid damage and then I can't do damage to him that fast and he keeps using that skill which sets my mp to 0 which is annoying. Then I lose more time and eventually a healer dies and it is lost.

Until which level to you get new skills?
@Luthan - Response in the spoiler...

I would definitely put Efflora in the party for her group elemental defense abilities. Other than that, the choices are pretty wide open, though you'll probably want Fidese for her healing. The more lifeforces you have, the easier the battle will be. If you haven't found many you can use the item guide that came with the game. Characters got their last abilities at level 45. If the battle's driving you crazy, the difficulty can be adjusted from the menu.

Good luck.
Okay. Thank you. I tried again.
So I was right to go with Efflora and Fidese. I used them in the earlier bossfights too. Fidese because of the healing and Efflora/Vellamik because of the defense buffs and Efflora's elemental defense. I changed their gear a bit and decided to use Syndarion as damage dealer. Old but still strong. I used his strongest ability "Force" that deals about 10k damage for sure. Better than hoping for crits. It worked. I gave him the Aegis item that I got after collectiong the 99 relicts and was able to keep him alive and Naarxoth often dispelled my defensive buffs and used that ability which sets my mp to 0 only 2 or 3 times.

Later I used Syndarion in the last battle too. I hope there wasn't anything to steal. Didn't try stealing. So the only thing was that letter from Argyle?

I liked the game. Minigames were nice and the difficulty of the puzzles was okay. Also the Complete_Item_Guide.doc helped a bit. Most of the things I would have found without help but one or two things I would have missed without it. Lockpicking was good too. On hard mode you needed to write down every single step and be very careful but it was not impossible.

Battles were good too. I played everything on medium/normal difficulty. I liked that you really needed the special abilities sometimes and that they weren't that hard and you still hat time to figure it out without thousand times reloading and trying another strategy then dieing and then reloading again.

Story was good but not great. But that is only my personal opinion. All the puzzles made it a bit "slow" and sometimes I wished for less puzzles and more background scenes for example where you see what Balerus is doing or other stuff. But then the ending was unexpected. I liked that. So that old planet was Earth if I unterstood it correctly? I would have preferred more info about some of the characters. Would have been interesting to see Balerus alive and going him with the others to earth.

By the way: I liked that last puzzle. Something not that hard... only a few hintes were you could make a few equations and then that latin sentence where you could see that E was 1 and then get the other values.

Vellamik was the best character. I really liked him(and Trux and Brynn and that thief guy. About Novriath someone said it was "uuh okay"... I think it was a bit too fast. He saw Efflora and remembered her and then he was back to normal. There could have been a few of the memories that the scientists gave him and a bit more of struggle against the wrong memories.

What I did not like: Armegmus has the special abilities to break rocks, burn trees... you come across some of that stuff earlier but you can use the ablity only later after you trigger some story event. Should be either
a) possible to use them from the beginning
or
b) explained why he can't use them from the beginning. For exmaple he could learn to use them only later or some other characters that join later could only use them.

And then I found one bug besides that F12 bug. Some minor thing. I already forgot which map exactly. But in Sanctum there are signs in front of the doors. On one door there was no visible sign but you could still "use" it and got a dialogue which told what was behind the door.
@Luthan - Congratulations on beating Manifest, and thank you for the very thorough feedback.
I'm nearly 15 hours into Manifest and the game has exceeded my highest expectations. However, I've hit a little snag with the Nayrin Ruin located South East of the seemingly abandoned Theolar town (I forget the name). The first puzzle was easy since I have the faded scroll which details the answers. The second puzzle is where I'm stuck. When I input the answer provided by the faded scroll nothing happens.

A hint in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Disregard this post. I was able to figure out the puzzle. Turned out I was over thinking it.

Thanks for playing Manifest! It made me very happy to read that first sentence. If any other questions come up, please don't hesitate to ask. Hope to hear back from you again. Happy gaming.
I'm making my way to the end of the game, but I'm sidequesting. Because of this I will put down my questions

1. The list: I found the emerald scale (and I'm leveling there CRAZYLY) and I know where to find the rest. It seems like all is made of random monsters loot... but the phoenix; I can't find it in the forest... it just doesn't show. Isn't it a random monster?

2. I miss the last tower and probably it's the easiest, but I'm stuck (I breezed through the raining island ruin, it's pretty incredible): I found the note about the ruin on the dead island with the triples I have to follow but I can't use it. I tried pushing the switches in the given order tryin' every possible point as the 1, but the door won't budge! About this... since the beginning I have the same problem: I can't use key items INSIDE buildings: game ALWAYS crashes without warning if I try to read a note about the ruin when I am in the ruin itself

3. In the Syndarion cave I found the room with expressions. I solved them and the smartest thing I found to do was using an ascendent order. Well, probably I'm awful in maths, but even here the door won't budge

4. The Titan of Ospes tournament. I'm at level 70 but Napalm Rats kill me... what's the level suggested to try beating the tournament? I'll go to 99 anyway but I'd like to use the last levels in the last dungeon :( - my party: Vellamik - Val - Fidese (I never changed it)

Thanks :)

Good to hear from you again. I'll put my answers below.

1. There is a bird that you randomly encounter throughout the Taebris Forest called the Pterax. You can get a feather from killing it, but it is easier to steal it. Hopefully you don't have to fight there long before one shows up.

2. The position of the numbers on each page of the guide correspond to the position of the buttons. For example, if the top right number is a 6, it means you have to hit the button in the top right as the sixth button. If the bottom left number is a 1, that's the first button you press.

3. Each of the expressions on the sign post should work out to a number from 1 - 6. That will tell you the order you have to hit the buttons in. If you calculate an expression and get something other than 1 - 6, try recalculating them. Do everything in parentheses first, and multiplication and division come before addition/subtraction. All from left to right.

4. You are definitely high enough level to kill the napalm rats. It actually doesn't have anything to do with your level. They only explode after taking damage, so be sure to never use any multiple target abilities or they'll all explode at once. Attack one or two, they'll explode, then heal up, and repeat.

Good luck. Let me know if you have any other questions or need me to elaborate on any of the above answers.

2. YOU ARE A FREAKING GENIUS!! I would have never thought about it...
@Superes - Thanks =). Were you able to complete all four of the parts you had questions on?
I've just arrived at the Ospes Festival and I can't believe the number of mini games you built into this game. However, I believe I have come across a bug related to the Divination (Ally) ability. I've put the details in spoiler tags.

When I use Divination (Ally) I am unable to select Novriath or Efflora. They are not listed. I've tried shifting around my party members but it makes no difference. It's a minor bug granted but I figured I'd mention it.

I hope you're enjoying the festivities, and thanks for letting me know about the divination problem. I'll look into it and fix it up. It may have something to do with what I wrote in the spoiler below.

Is it happening when Armegmus is wandering the festival alone? If so, try using divination again when your group is back together and let me know if it works. Thanks.

I'm about to complete the game, I'm into the last sidequest (i guess). I had my first disappointment after 38 hours:

I killed Narxooth, I don't remember the right spelling and, well... I don't blame the poor loot or the poorness of the letter, but you should have written some dialogue line more. Nothing too serious, but I had no pathos in that scene. Anyway: I was level 83 (87 now) and had some trouble, but not too much.
@Superes - Thanks for letting me know and congratulations on your accomplishment...that's no easy feat. I went in favor of having a longer scene before that particular fight, rather than after it. Good luck with the end.
Currently playing. I appreciate the emphasis on exploration, and the characters and story is greatly developed.
