That's right, we're getting close to the end!
Today I started development on the game's THIRD LAST DUNGEON, which is to say that once I complete that area, there's just one more before I move on to the FINAL DUNGEON! Can anybody say EXCITED?! Well, I certainly can!

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean that once I've finished the game's final area that it'll be ready to release to the public. I'm doing things a little different than usual, so rather than work in stages (FULLY COMPLETE one area, then move to the next, etc.) I'm rushing through and setting up all of the main events. Once the major scenes have been evented and tested, I'm going back and implementing the smaller details like NPCs, optional bosses and enemies, animals and map effects, etc.

And the villainous Veryl challenges Ms. Savior to a fateful game of Scrabble! Who will emerge the victor?!

If you've played any of my other projects
(thank you if you have!) and decide to tackle the world of Tsufanubra with our beloved Savior, you're BOUND to notice that a lot of things seen in the earlier Dragon Fantasy games and Eternal Paradise make a reappearance! Things like WHAT, you may ask? Well...

-On-touch enemy encounters.

-Dungeons SWARMING with said monsters.

-Animations (emoticons) such as question marks and exclamation points used in cutscenes.

-Monster classifications (Animals, Demons, Humanoids, etc.)

-Weapons effective against particular enemy types (as listed above).

-(Probably a few more that I can't quite remember at the moment...)

So, in essence, Chronicles of Tsufanubra is a conglomeration of all my past efforts and ideas all rolled up into one beautiful package, and hopefully it truly shows in the end.

The Alliteration Brigade attacks! Command?

And now, while we're on the topic of enemy encounters...

Most of the game you'll encounter dungeons CRAWLING with monsters, but starting with the White Realm (the game's third last dungeon) I think I'm going to move on to something a little different. I've been contemplating drastically increasing the difficulty of the enemies, but having LESS groups present in the final dungeons. The EXP and Gil amounts will scale up to compensate, of course. THUS, instead of having 30~ enemy groups that are fairy manageable and a moderate challenge, there would be 15-20 MUCH more challenging encounters that would really test a player's skills.

The endgame is PERFECT for this, and it's mainly because the party will then have access to its entire arsenal of weapons and abilities, thus allowing for more diverse enemy encounters and strategies to take said enemies down.

Anyway, that's all for now!
I know there hasn't been much activity on this page lately, but progress IS being made! We're ALMOST THERE, folks! Just a little longer!

As always, thanks for (hopefully) subscribing to the Game Page and taking the time to read this blog! Until next time!

Very cool. If you'd like someone to LP the final product, you know where to find me!
Oh, DEFINITELY! But we've still got quite a ways to go before releasing a final product. However, a little progress is made every day, so it's only a matter of time!
