So with the progress I've been making on my latest Dragon Fantasy project, I thought it would be best to go back into DFR and rework the World Map using the knowledge I've gained from studying the overworlds of both Dragon Warrior 2 and 3. I'm surprised I didn't do this sooner! It's amazing how much you can learn just by looking over another person's maps. It's helped me immensely. The World Maps of the original two Dragon Fantasies were all over the place and made up as I went along, so they didn't really hold together to give that THIS IS ACTUALLY A WORLD feeling. There were long strips of land instead of giant clumps, and they both had a very linear design and were unnecessarily HUGE.
So other than working on Dragon Fantasy: Heroes of Tsufana while I wait for Corfaisus to finish up some maps I requested, I've also been ironing out a few details in DFR's plot. I've not finished deciding on what I want changed yet, but I do know that I want LESS CAVES than the original. I'm fairly certain that is the only dungeon type I put in there back then. Not only that, but a few locations HAVE to change simply because the new plot won't allow them to be there. I'm trying to fit in MOST of the original locations and such, but there will be a few that are left out.
