A new download for THL is available.
A new download for The Hallowed Line is currently available for download. Here is a list of some new features and updates :
1) Fechnia Forest/Valley has been rebuilt.
2) Added improved weather script, falling leaves, better snow and rain.
3) Added new Summoning System with 1 summon available at GM Island.
4) Added Rei, a new hero.

Progress Report
Fechnia Valley nearly complete!
Fechnia Valley (the zone I have been posting screenshots of lately) is nearing completion. I am now going to compile a list of updates and what needs to be done here. Once Fechnia Valley's rebuild is complete I will install the 1st chapter of my story-line (already developed) and release version 1.75 for testing and your opinions, my best estimate is that this will take another week to complete.

Fechnia Valley overhaul :
I have redeveloped Fechnia Valley (once known as Fechnia Forest) to give it a more 3d feel. This map was original 12 35x35 maps that lead you to pretty much 1 location, and has been updated to feel more like a maze. I plan on including alot of side-quests into this zone along with it being the main zone for chapter 1's events. Here is a list of updates I have done to this zone:

What Encounter type should I use?
I am wondering what exact encounter type to use, Random Battles or User initiated battles (you touch enemy or enemy touches you to engage). What is better in your opinion?

Characters :
A soldier of the Exilian Empire, is currently stationed with his mother in the town of Fechnia, near the border of the Doravi(Exilia's Sworn Enemy) region of Meir, when an Magi Adept (Morya Westwind) goes missing from her post in the Fechnia forest. Clyde is sent out to find her by Rei, his commanding officer. Upon entering the forest he notices 2 Doravi soldiers near death, one tells him reluctantly that a demon took Morya to the middle of the forest to sacrifice her to his god.
Mother of Clyde Alexor, she moved her son to Fechnia after the war between the Exilian Empire and the Doravi Republic re-erupted 5 years ago. Married to Erom Alexor, High General of the Exilian Empire, she is a steadfast supporter of everything Exilian. When Clyde was young she shipped him off to Alexandrom, the capitol city of the Exilian Empire to become trained in the ways of war like his father. Now stationed in Fechnia with Clyde, she supports Clyde and Exilia in anyway she can.
Under Article 617.42 of the Exilian Empire's Code, this information is Classified.
Not alot is known about this mysterious woman. She is a skilled officer of the Exilian Empire and excels in white magic (healing magic). She is a very closed book when it comes to her personal life to everybody except Clyde, her friend since she was young. Clyde, who has recently only joined the Exilian Empire in Fechnia,has looked up to Rei like a big sister, but her feelings seem to be quite different for Clyde.
As an Adept in Magic at the Fechnian Exilian Headquarters, Morya spent most of her young life in Fechnia. When she was very young her parents were both killed in a Doravian raid on her home town of Valbrooke. Swearing revenge for her parents unfair death, she joined the Exilian Empire the minute she was able too. Currently stationed south of Fechnia in the Fechnian Forests, word has it that she has gone missing with the soldiers she has been stationed with. It will be up to Clyde and Rei to find out what happened to them and see to there safe return.
Mayor of Fechnia, always anti-Doravi since his son was killed in combat against them a few years back, has recently allowed the Exilian Empire to build a Headquarters in his town, to the dismay of his people. Blinded by rage and revenge he only sees the downfall of the Doravi as how the war should end.

The Exilia / Doravi Wars - Going on for years now, not much is remembered about the origin of the war, only that one side upset the other. The two sides ideals are one in the same but it is not the way they see each other. Today the war has escalated to such an extreme that any time one side sees the other a fight will always break out, ask questions later.
Places :
Fechnia - Fechnia is a village on the Island of Vesra. Fechnia has always sided with the Exilian Empire in the war but is not hostile to the Doravi either, seeing how neither side has done them wrong. Kalsa, the mayor of Fechnia recently allowed the Exilian Empire to build a Barracks like structure in the southern part of their village, to the dismay of fellow villagers. This did not sit well with the Doravi, and it is only a matter of time before something bad comes of it.

Progress Report
Update : Class System and Balancing
I have updated my class system so when you change your class your sprite and Portrait change. Also I have finished crunching the numbers and balancing the enemies from levels 1-5 for chapter 1 of the storyline, including a boss. A new skill I have implemented allows for casters to regenerate mana over a 3 turn period, but in return they lose all defense points (from armor also) and can not do anything for them 3 turns.
Any suggestions to improve upon these 3 things or anything I should add please post it here.
Also the ability to use a sub-class has been removed for now.

Storyline Update : Clyde's Biography
Name: Clyde Alexor
Age: 26
Born: May 3rd, 1215 AE (After Erom)
Hometown: Fechnia
Religion: Does not believe in a Deity
Background:
Born in Fechnia, Clyde was raised by his Mother “Marta” and his father “Elron”. When he was 6 his father moved Clyde to Exilandria (Exilia’s Capitol City) to be schooled in the art of warfare like he was. Clyde excelled in his schooling and graduated at the top of his class and went on to become a Highlord in the Exilian Army at the age of 17.
When the war between Exilia and Doravi broke out in 1235 (Clyde was 20 at this time) he was stationed at Black Ridge, a mountain pass that separated the Exilian Homeland from Doravi. After a long fought battle at Black Ridge, the Exilian Forces had to retreat and most of the blame was placed on Clyde and he was demoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Although the blame was not his because he took the blame for what happened to shield his friend Roeim whose decision to attempt to save his wife cost the Exilians the Ridge.
After the “Black Ridge Incident” Roeim was reassigned to Fechnia’s Exilian house and he took Clyde with him to be his subordinate, which is ironic because Roeim use to be Clyde’s lieutenant.

Started Work on The Hallowed Line Version 1.1
Work has now started on THL Ver. 1.1
I do not plan on advancing the storyline at all, just adding to what is already there. I have already started remastering alot of the version 1.0 buildings with a better look and I am also adding lighting effects, because of that I can not say when the release of 1.1 will be, sorry.
I will have removed the class system until further notice because of the path I want to tank this game down (Old School, Lufia style) and at the moment I cant think of any good ways to use the class system.
I have also done a little bit of work on Fechnia (all the buildings are no longer blocky looking things). I have added a little bit more detail to them. For future notice, when I start work on Delori (next town you goto) I will be creating that with Photoshop (like I do the inside of my buildings) so the detail between Fechnia and Delori will be a huge difference (think the outside of Roeim's House).
I plan on add a few side quests to the game for 1.1 (If you were wondering what the dug-up grave in Fechnian Forest is about, you will find out in 1.1)
If at all possable I would like somebody out there to draw me up some Anime style faces for my heros (I like the Generated look, but I know that will be way overused once VXAce becomes mainstream)

Version 1.05 (Rough) released
UPDATE : I have released an updated version of 1.05 (Pending RMN's approval at the moment) which fixed the outside_c error and added a few more things.
I just finished uploading a rough draft for Ver. 1.05. The storyline has been added but most non-critical NPCs are still missing. This is just so you can see the progress. Thanks!

There is an error when you try to enter Fechnia "outside_c modded".
To fix this error :
1) Go into your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Enterbrain\RGSS3\RPGVXAce\Graphics\Tilesets folder and copy outside_c.png
2) Paste that file into your \The Hallowed Line\Graphics\Tilesets folder
3) Rename outside_c to "Outside_C Modded" without the quotes (" "s)

Plan on finishing Patch 1.05 by the weeks end.
I hope to finish patch 1.05 by this weeks end. This patch will feature a peek into my story and I will unvale the game's name. Almost all the buildings from 1.0 will be redone. Fechnia Forest will be turned into a maze, no orbs (too many events and it got my 7 year old niece bored so I can only imagine how bored it makes all you).
UPDATE : Due to feedback obtained about Fechnia and Fechnia Forest the release of 1.05 will be pushed back for an additional day or two, sorry for the inconvenience.

Graphical Demo Released
I have uploaded Version 1.0 of TBP (Team Bruthon's Project). At the moment the game still is without a name. There is no elements of a real story either. This demo is for cosmetic review at the moment.
Tips for Testers :
* There are 2 "Hidden" chests : One in the Inn and the other in you bedroom.
* Use the "Rocket Boots"!
