Even though I have an irrational dislike for hidden object games (mostly because I try to play cool sounding adventure games but they are just hidden object games in disguise and that pisses me off), this game looks really cool and I will be checking it out.

I love the aesthetic, too!

Ouch! Isn't that called "Bait & Switch?" That's a stupid way to advertise anything, but especially a game because it draws in the wrong kind of player; the kind guaranteed NOT to like it.

Eh??? Found it and fixed it. Thanks for catching that. :)

It's a simple game so don't expect too much from it. I'm still a beginner at making games. I hope you like it anyway.
I've downloaded the game but it won't work :(
Can you upload a new one? >,<

When I press the kitty icon, it starts but suddenly pops out an error that says
"I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.
After initialization, but before game start.
Exception: Textures are not rendering properly."

This error pops up when the player's Video Card can't handle the game's graphics. In other words; your computer isn't fast enough to make the pictures for my game. The only fix for this is to upgrade your computer's video drivers or video card.

I can almost guarantee that you'll get the same error if you try to load my other game (Faery Tale) too.

Unlike many of the games here which use tiny, base-color 1 pixel images repeated a million times, my games use huge, (1024x768) complicated pictures. If your computer is several years old, you won't be able to make the pictures for any of my games.
Huh? But Faery Tale did worked for me! I've finished the game a week ago :P

My computer is windows xp, and I've checked mine is also 1024x768

This is a BIG game that's heavy on the graphics. If you have another graphics heavy program going while playing the game, your video card may not be able to handle both, because that is a video card error flag.

My windows XP computer could Not handle this game. The graphics card wasn't fast enough. That's how I know what that error is. (I started building this game on my XP computer.) I was forced to buy a new computer back in December because my computer couldn't handle all the new graphics on the internet, never mind games.
Well that's a shame :(

You rarely get to see someone make a hidden object game here and play it >.<

No argument there. My computer ran just fine until everyone else started upgrading. I had to throw away a perfectly functional computer. I was pissed.

I though that was odd too. There are a lot of flash-based hidden object games, but that seems to be all. I know one other person who did a HO game with Renpy. She's the one I got the base code from.

Unknown renderer: angle
Windows-XP-5.1.2600-SP3

This is a Graphics Card error.
-- It means that your computer's graphics card is too old or too slow to make the pictures at the speed this version of Renpy requires.

Just so you know, I can't run this game on my Win XP either. I had to upgrade my computer to Win 7.

I was stupid. I was updating all the image files, and apparently I didn't look at the link I submitted.

I finished the game!

My feedback below:
- The graphics are great! Really! How do you draw them? They look amazing!
- I loved the aesthetics of the game, how every room was framed as a painting or picture.
- It's a bit on the short side, but it's a very enjoyable ride.
- The music is really soothing, loved it. I think it matches the aesthetics well, plus it's from an album named "A Cat Playing" (also, the code was by SusanTheCat), I c wat u did thur! ;p
- I think some sort of aditional display for the player to keep count of the misses and hints used would have been useful.
- It's a fun little game! I would love to see another one like this, but bigger and with a more detailed story.
- I also noticed you have more games, you'll probably hear more from me in the future :p

My mom played it too, and also enjoyed it ;)

So you did indeed!

How did I do the art? Photo-manipulation -- entirely. It took forever too. One room took two whole days to create. That's why the game was so small.

-- Thank you for your advice! When I make another hidden object game I will definitely try to follow it. The problem is, I just don't know how to code that -- yet.
