Monster Guide

Finding the type of monster you want can be a bit difficult if you don't know what you're doing, so this guide will show you each monster type and how to get them.

~The Basics~

In this game, your monster companion will grow in various ways by visiting a "Sage", usually with a transformation. There is only one sage that you have to find, however. The rest are completely optional, and you might have to do a bit of exploring to find them.


~The Tiers~

There are five different "tiers" for your creature. What this means is that, each time your creature evolves, it'll be into the next tier, and the creature it evolves into will be based on a choice on the part of the player. So, out of the 40+ possible forms, you'll only be seeing five of them per playthrough. The tiers are as follows:

Slime - The starting tier. Not a very useful tier, for sure.

Basic - The first choice that happens to also be mandatory. There are three possible outcomes in this tier.

Alignment - This tier offers your creature an alignment of either "Heaven", "Hell", or "Earth". Your creature will transform based on your choice for both this tier and the Basic tier, for nine possible creatures.

Balance - This tier has the most monster types, sporting 18 different creatures. The categories to choose from are just "Order" and "Chaos", so you can turn your tier three creature into one of two tier four creatures.

Ultimate - This tier contains the 12 strongest creatures of all. The one that's chosen is based on all of your choices thus far.

~Offense~

The third upgrade is a choice of Crystals that are automatically equipped to the monster. The Power Crystal raises the effectiveness of physical attacks while the Mana Crystal raises the effectiveness of magical attacks.


~Defense~

The fourth upgrade is a choice of defensive measures, one for physical defense and one for magical defense. Choosing Physical Defense automatically equips the monster with an HP Relic and a Vitality Relic, boosting HP and DEF by 25%. Choosing Magic Defense equips an HP Relic and a Soul Relic, boosting HP and SPI by 25%.

~Magic~

The sixth upgrade grants four magic spells to the monster. The three types you can choose are Elemental, Time, and Healing. The spells are equipped as tomes, filling out the rest of the monster's equipment slots. The spells for each category are as follows:

Elemental:
Eruption - Flame elemental damage to all enemies
Flood - Water elemental damage to all enemies
Quake - Earth elemental damage to all enemies
Hurricane - Storm elemental damage to four random enemies

Time:
Slow Cure - Restore HP gradually
Haste - Buff ATK and AGI
Poison - Poison all enemies
Slow - DeBuff ATK and AGI

Healing:
Replenish - Heal a large amount of HP
Quick Heal - Heal some HP and act first
Revitalize - Revive with 100% HP
Remedy - Heal all status effects


~Tier 5~

The Ultimate Tier boasts the 12 strongest creatures in the game. All of the choices you made before this will be taken into account when this creature is chosen. So what are the Ultimate Creatures? Play the game and find out!

when you chose between order and chaos and your monster is owl everything is messed up see this three pictures

my owl I chose pigon -> earth


if I chose order

as you see my hp and mp change is completely wrong I lost 100 max HP and gain 70 max MP

now if I chose chaos

my monster became a Torima instead of magus (skills are for a Torima too). additionally my monster spirit is closer to a sylph
the game message says "A has transformed into a magus"
