DON'T EAT SOAP
(An Educational Game Starring Bob the Hamster)

Soap is bad for you to eat. It is good for washing your hands, but very very bad for you to put in your mouth. If soap ever accidentally gets in your mouth, spit it out! This game is an educational simulation using the latest in 8-bit gaming technology so that you can experience mouth-related soap accidents from the safety of your living-room without risk of actual hospitalization.

Remember! This is only a game! Do not try it at home!

Version 1.1.11 adds 15 new levels (for a total of 40) and 3 new enemies

New updated version (And OUYA compatibility)

I am pleased to report that I have finished a new updated version of Don't Eat Soap. It adds 15 new levels, 3 new enemies, and a version is now also available for the OUYA console.

There is also a new retro password system so you can "save" your progress, and you no longer need to play the entire game in one sitting.

This is a fun little game. More folks on RMN should check it out!

The 524 is for 524 Stone Crabs

This was kind of fun. My only real beef with it is that it's kind of hard to pop the bubbles when the monsters are trapped.

And the ability to summon the "Office Whores" to deal damage to the enemies.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh this game takes me back to the beautiful times I used to play the NES with my brothers when we were all friends.Subbed and Downloaded.(^-^)oO0
Great bit of bubble-blowing/popping fun.

SPOILER
Mr. Triangle scared the crap out of me at the end though. I thought that potion might be for me. @.@
Pretty nice game, inspired on bubble bobble as I see~! ((the hamster name is also from there no~?))

cute little game ^^~ ecept a bit annoying that some enemies don't seem to pop after hitting them even from certain heights, seems like the pop must be either, hit near the center of the bubble or walk against it
Many people have commented on the difficulty of popping enemies. This is intentional. I know that the bubbles are easier to pop in bubble bobble, but I wanted a slightly higher level of difficulty.

In order to pop a bubble, you must come within 9 pixels of its center. That means that a single bubble in an unfavorable wind current is impossible to pop.

"single bubble" is the key to that statement.

The bubble popping physics are tuned to favor blowing as many bubbles as you can

When several bubbles are close together, they push against each other, and enough bubbles can clog up even the strongest wind current.

Furthermore, when multiple bubbles are touching, you only need to pop a single one, and all adjacent bubbles will pop too.

So rather than frustrating yourself by trying to pop a lone enemy bubble and having it slip out of your grasp over and over, instead you should try and wrap that enemy bubble in a thick foam of other bubbles, and then launch yourself into the middle of it.

However, I am not deaf to the complaints. I guess I can't rule out the possibility of adding an "Easy Mode" with a more forgiving bubble-pop threshold, and perhaps a longer time-out before enemies escape from bubbles. (but no promises!)
